A toy bow assembly used to launch toy projectiles. The toy bow assembly has a rigid bow structure. The bow structure has a first arm section, a second arm section, and a central region. Two separate and distinct elastic elements are provided to launch a projectile. The first elastic element is anchored to the first arm section of the bow structure. A second elastic element is anchored to the second arm section. Both of the elastic elements terminate with loop structures that extend into the central region between the first and second arm sections. A toy projectile is provided that has extending hooks. The hooks on the projectile engage the loop structures of the elastic elements. When the projectile is drawn back, the elastic elements stretch and provide the spring energy needed to launch the projectile into flight when it is released.

The present invention relates to an arrow shooting device, and more specifically to, a new arrow shooting device and a draw weight adding method, wherein an arrow is shot not by a compound arrow or a compound crossbow, which have been conventionally used, but by a rubber band and a differential motion cam. The arrow shooting device according to the present invention is formed in the straight simple shape, wherein, as shown in FIG. 6 , the rubber band having superior elasticity is used rather than a limb in the energy storage method thereof and the retraction speed of the rubber band is converted using a differential motion cam or a differential motion cam so as to be suitable for shooting the arrow. In addition, it is possible to additionally hang the rubber band in the state when drawing is finished, or pull the rubber band by means of a winch, so that even people in general may shoot an arrow with a strong draw weight. Therefore, the arrow shooting device is light enough to easily be carried, is easy to manufacture and repair, and has much storage power so that an arrow may be shot far and shot straight. According to the present invention, it is possible to resolve the conventional problems of the complicated structure, heavy weight, noise and shock in the compound arrow and the compound crossbow and reduce the weight for convenience in movement.

A portable device to compress a bow comprising a pulley system with a block and tackle and fixed pulleys which, by wiring, are connected to a set of fastening supports with fastening ends. The fastening ends fasten and pull the ends of the arms or limbs of a bow, under traction exerted by the block and tackle. The block and tackle has a drive portion and a brake controlling the traction and release of the cables connected to the fastening supports. Upon pulling the drive portion, the block and tackle produces the approach between the first and the second pulleys. This displacement between the pulleys acts on the cables which, through the fixed pulleys, cause the approach between the fastening supports. This displacement of the fastening supports overcomes the resistance of the bow and compresses it. Once the desired compressive level is reached, the brake or blockage is actuated.

A crossbow is provided which has a frame and first and second limbs secured to the frame. A bowstring extends between the first and second limbs and is configured to move between a forward rest position and a rearward cocked position. A beam is secured to the frame forward of the forward rest position of the bowstring and is configured to extend over the forward rest position of the bowstring. The beam is configured to allow one or more accessories to be mounted thereon. 1. Components and archery bows incorporating the same utilize coating layers with compositions that comprise ceramic and ceramic-based materials. In one embodiment, the coating layer is disposed on a wear surface of the component, which can interpose the coating layer between the component and a bowstring that moves relative to the component. 1. An archery bow , comprising:a cam assembly having a cam member with a body that has a pivot axis and forms an annular groove disposed radially about the pivot axis, wherein the body has a surface on which is disposed a coating layer having a composition comprising a ceramic material.2. The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein the coating layer has a thickness of 30 μm or less.3. The archery bow of claim 2 , wherein the thickness is from 12 μm to about 25 μm.4. The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein the surface forms a groove surface on at least part of the annular groove.5. The archery bow of claim 4 , wherein the surface includes a first surface and a second surface disposed on opposing sides of the cam member.6. The archery bow of claim 5 , wherein the coating layer forms a monolithic layer over more than one of the groove surface claim 5 , the first surface claim 5 , and the second surface of the cam member.7. The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein the ceramic material comprises a polymer-ceramic matrix.8. Crossbows are provided having a barrel with one limb and one winding system mounted to each of two opposite sides of the barrel. Each winding system has a limb string connected to one of the limbs and a limb cam about which the limb string can be wound. The limb cams are connected to and positioned apart from arrow string cams by respective interconnects and an arrow string extends across the barrel from an arrow string cam on one side of the barrel to an arrow string cam on the other side of the barrel. The limbs provide first forces urging the limb strings to unwind from the limb cams and the interconnects receive the first forces and convey a second forces to the arrow cams urging the arrow cams to rotate so as to wind the arrow strings onto the arrow cams. Each apparatus includes an open top drum for receiving and storing darts. The darts are tubular and formed of soft foam. The drum includes an open outer surface with spaced recesses so that loaded darts are exposed, the darts being received by a spike in each recess. The recesses also include protrusions for restraining the stored darts on the spike, and a platform is mounted in the crossbows to support each dart when the released stretched cord impacts the dart. In the case of a rotating wheel arrangement, there is no need for spikes on drum or a platform.
