The present invention relates to a navigation system and to a method for controlling vehicle navigation. The vehicle navigation of the present invention comprises a storage that saves map data, a communication part that receives, from a vehicle black box installed in the vehicle, visual data captured by said block box, and a control part that acquires location data from the map data and saves the data after mapping the captured visual data with the location data. According to the present invention, as the control part maps the visual data obtained by the vehicle black box with the visual data and saves said data, the user can easily search the relevant visual data or visual frame using the location data, and use said data to determine the cause of an accident and the negligence or fault that led thereto in the event of a car accident. 1. A plurality of threads simultaneously employ entire traces to collectively generate the seamless road network. Each thread employs an entire one of the traces extending across several tiles during a single step. A job scheduler and blocking table prevent threads from simultaneously processing traces having common tiles and disturbing one another. The threads employ an incremental map matching method, wherein the probe traces are compared to existing line segments of the digital map, and new line segments are created using the probe traces not matching the existing line segments.

A method for navigation may include receiving, by a server system, an indication of a starting location and an indication of a destination from a client device; identifying a route between and including the starting location and the destination; calculating a safety rating for the route, the safety rating indicating an estimated likelihood of a traveler experiencing an incident when traveling along the route; and/or transmitting, from the server system to the client device, an indication of the route and an indication of the safety rating. A navigation system including devices for implementing the method is also disclosed. 1.
