The magnet switch 11 is turned on or off when the magnet 10 comes close and sends its signal to a CPU 12. If the rotation of the belt 2 is stopped for some reason, the signal from the magnet switch 11 is ceased. Said signal is therefore disabled to be counted in the CPU 12 and a stop signal for stopping the motor is sent to a motor control circuit on the basis of the judgement of that. The invention comprises a method for obtaining accurate, instantaneous electric consumption data for telemetry purposes from the consumer's utility revenue meter. Heretofore, methods for obtaining high frequency telemetry have been limited to specialized devices which are not based on the utility revenue meter, or are unable to meet the temporal requirements of instantaneous telemetry. The invented method specifically uses external outputs of the utility revenue meter, the pulse outputs or optical reader, acquires and transmits high frequency telemetry in less than 30 seconds inclusive down to 1 second. It is also significant that the invention considers the timing of meter data reads. Other approaches to reading the utility revenue meter focus on pulse counting or use of a predetermined time interval. In the current embodiment of the invention, the device measures the timing of each pulse which led to accuracy within a few seconds.

An automatic sensor excitation voltage adjustment feature, a multi-range concentration feature, a single calibration feature and a barrier circuit feature. The automatic sensor excitation voltage adjustment feature includes a transmitter having a transmitter microprocessor that provides an initial voltage to a sensor having a sensor microprocessor. As the voltage changes a correction signal is relayed from the sensor microprocessor to the transmitter microprocessor. The correction signal is used to adjust the voltage applied to the sensor. The multi-range concentration sensor feature includes an amplifier associated with the sensor/microprocessor to create gain settings used to optimize sensor resolution by changing a gain value for the sensor. This enables use of a single sensor for a variety of different concentration ranges. The single calibration feature enables a sensor to be calibrated at a single gas concentration value, and thereafter be used for a variety of different concentration range applications.

A radio communications network for transmitting data from a plurality of remote stations to a central station is provided. This system is particularly proposed for automatic meter reading systems in which the remote stations are located at utility meters. The system includes an array of receiving stations arranged relative to the remote stations so that the mesages from each remote station can be received by at least two and preferably four of the receiving stations providing a high level of duplication of messages. The remote stations transmit utility usage information obtained from the previous time period at a random time subsequent to the time period so that message collisions can occur. High level of duplication provided by the increased number of receiving stations reduces the message loss. A quiet period during which the remote stations are prevented from transmitting can be used for communication between the receiving stations and the central station.

In a flowmeter, a logging capability is integrated which allows simultaneous logging of pressure and flow. It has been found that logging at two different resolutions can enable detailed analysis of flow conditions without requiring excessive memory usage. Flow may be logged in a plurality of registers corresponding to different tariffs.

Узел передатчика содержит дисплей, элемент памяти, процессор, схему расширения, интерфейс источника питания, схему контроля, схему для программирования и тестирования передатчика, схему искрозащиты на базе диода Зенера, интерфейс PCB. Датчик содержит схему памяти, процессор, чувствительные элементы датчика, схему нормирования сигналов. Также устройство содержит схему регулирования питания, снабженную двумя потенциометрами, предназначенными для регулирования высокого и низкого напряжения соответственно. Процессор передатчика выполнен с возможностью сравнения напряжения на датчике с эталонным напряжением для определения необходимости регулирования напряжения на датчике. Также устройство включает усилитель, связанный с датчиком для создания установок усиления, используемых для оптимизации разрешения датчика изменением значения усиления для датчика. Это обеспечивает использование одного датчика для множества различных диапазонов концентрации.
