COIN HANDLING SYSTEM The coin handling system prevents coin to coin contact taking place in coin operated equipment. This is achieved by an arrangement whereby the presence of a coin activates a lever which then prevents a subsequent coin touching the previous one. A series of such levers are employed in the coin store of coin operated equipment, the actual number depending upon the number of coins to be stored. When the first coin is cleared from the store by a suitable gate arrangement, all coins move along the store by one position, the separation being maintained by the interaction of the levers and coins. The advantages of the system are that a wider range of coins from one coin set can be accommodated in a single store than is presently possible. The coin insertion sequence is maintained for the purposes of microprocessor control since a single store is used. Since coins cannot overtake each other the risk of coin jams is lessened.

A reader configured to perform dual-factor authentication is provided. The reader is configured to analyze credential data as well as event-based user inputs. The event-based user inputs are received in response to the reader presenting one or more events to a user and monitoring the user's reaction thereto. Utilization of an event-based user input enables the reader to perform dual-factor authentication without necessarily being provided with a keyboard or other advanced user input device. 1. A method , comprising:detecting, at a reader, user input related to one or more events controlled by the reader;analyzing the event-based user input; andbased on the analysis of the event-based user input, determining whether the user that provided the user input is allowed access to an asset protected by the reader.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:receiving, at the reader, credential data from a credential;analyzing the credential data; andupon determining that the credential data and the event-based user input are both valid, permitting the user access to the asset protected by the reader.3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the credential data is split across a plurality of credentials and wherein the credential data is determined to be valid when each of the plurality of credentials are presented in a predetermined order.4. Items to be protected are placed in a secured location in the security container. The security container is locked only if the items are detected to be in the secured location. A system for receiving and auditing objects according to an embodiment of the invention includes a housing having a front panel, a receiving area, an auditing area, and a drop chute, wherein the receiving area includes a shelf, the front panel includes an opening, a door assembly having a pushing wall and a second pushing wall and assembly moveable between an open position in which an object can be inserted through the opening and into the receiving area, and a closed position in which the door assembly prevents access to the receiving area, wherein the pushing wall moves the object from the shelf into the auditing area as the door assembly closed; and a control system coupled to a camera and switch, wherein the door assembly activates the switch when it is in the closed position, the control system images the object with the camera in response to switch activation. 1. 본 발명은 커피나 음료수 등의 물건을 판매하는 자동 판매기를 인터넷에 연결하고 멀티미디어 서비스 기능을 구비하여 이용자들에게 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공함과 더불어 원격지에서 멀티미디어 데이터의 업데이트 및 자동 판매기 관리를 실행할 수 있도록 하는 멀티미디어 서비스 기능을 갖는 자동 판매기 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 인터넷에 연결되고 슬라이드 광고를 디스플레이하는 데몬과 동영상 광고를 디스플레이하는 코어 플레이어를 구비하는 자판기, 업데이트된 멀티미디어 데이터를 상기 인터넷을 통하여 상기 다수의 자판기들에게 전송하여 주는 중앙 서버를 포함하고, 상기 자판기의 데몬이 상기 코어 플레이어를 실행하여 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하며, 또한 상기 중앙 서버와 통신을 실행하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 이용자들은 자판기를 이용하는 동안 유익한 정보를 얻을 수 있고, 광고를 의뢰한 업체들은 자판기에 의한 광고로 고객을 유치한다거나 고객들에게 업체의 친숙함을 더할 수 있게 하는 효과가 있다.
