The method consists in diagnosing a string of insulators and restoring the standardized parameters of the mechanical and electrical strength of the string. The method is carried out by replacing the insulator with a repair insulator made in the form of a rod polymer insulator, and depending on the length of the garland, the insulator located closer to the traverse or closer to the current-carrying wire is replaced. The repair insulator contains a support rod, end fittings and a polymer protective sheath. The end fittings are rigidly fixed by crimping at the ends of the bearing rod with the formation of a free surface of the rod between them of at least 9 mm, and the value of the diameter of the bearing rod is taken to be at least a quarter of the construction length of the insulator. The set of repair insulators is made with a constant construction length and a variable length of the free surface of the rod between the end fittings of each of them. The set is formed on the basis of the condition of obtaining at least one and a half times the breakdown voltage value for each subsequent insulator in the set. Thus, wildlife is protected from electrocution. In the event a second type of insulator is used, such as a K-Line type insulator having a relatively large top metal, an inexpensive dielectric shell is fitted over top of the cover to extend the dielectric height by at least one inch to fully laterally cover the top metal of the of the K-Line type insulator. Thus, different covers are not needed for covering both types of insulators, since only the shell is added for covering the second type of insulator. The shell may be provided in different sizes to accommodate different lengths of the top metal. Retaining pins are used to secure the cover over the insulator and conductor. 1. At least one of the protrusions has a sharp extremity of sufficient hardness to penetrate corrosive and insulative formations which form on the metallic components. The presence of the clip reduces radio and television interference caused by electrical arcing.

The present invention relates to an arm structure for a processing distribution line. More specifically, the arm structure can switch the direction of the processing distribution line by 90 degrees or more or to match the direction of the processing distribution line being inserted to an insulating body according to a user′s selection in order to easily be installed when being connected with another pillar. The arm structure can insulate the processing distribution line by using the insulating body made of an insulation material without installing a separate insulator while reliably fixing the processing distribution line being inserted to a first direction selection groove of the insulating body through a pressing unit. The arm structure includes: a fixing unit which is inserted to move on the outer surface of a cylindrical-shaped pillar in a vertical direction; an insulator unit which is made of an insulating material, is fixed and installed to the pillar by being detachably coupled to the fixing unit, and has one side or both ends fitted and coupled to the lower part of the processing distribution line to enable the lower part be curved at the predetermined degree or to match the entry direction; and the pressing unit which is detachably coupled to one or both sides of the insulator unit and presses the upper part of the processing distribution line being fitted and coupled to the insulator unit in order to fix and install the processing distribution line thereto.
