Возможен такж вариант изготовления антиприсадного элемента 3 в виде полнообъемной конструкции. Антиприсадный элемент 3 крепится к траверсе 1 или каким-то другим конструкциям воздушной линии аналогичного назначения посредством узла крепления 4, представляющего собой отдельный от антиприсадного элемента 3 узел или конструктивно объединенный с антиприсадным элементом 3. A conductor of a power transmission line has its effective resistance to flow of direct current or low-frequency current (such as, for example, 50 Hz or 60 Hz) varied in a wide range to pass current and/or to generate heat for melting ice. Increasing the initial resistance of a conductor is accomplished by modulating the current at a high frequency (HF), such as about 1 kHz to about 100 kHz. The current through the conductor then becomes a mixture of a DC (or low-frequency current) and a high-frequency current. Because the latter flows in a thin skin-layer region of the conductor of depth dependent on frequency, the conductor's resistance to the HF current is higher than its resistance value for low frequency or DC current. By varying the frequency of current modulation in accordance with the present invention, the conductor's resistance is adjusted to a desired value for ice removal.

A technique for aiding an underground communications cable installer in the installation such cable in underground utilities neighborhoods. The technique manages the problem presented by a surface-visible, underground-pathway obstruction such as a sidewalk, which lies across the path of installation. The technique, or method, is useful with any kind of cable, such as fiberoptic cable or copper wire cable. Hydraulic water pressure is applied through a biased, flexible conduit to erode a pathway under the obstruction from ground surface on one side to ground surface on the opposite side of the obstruction, thereby forming a tunnel under the obstruction through which the cable can be easily pulled. In alternative embodiments, the cable can be inserted directly into and through the conduit while it is underground, the conduit then acting as a sleeve for the cable which is subsequently removed prior to burying the cable in a trench dug from street-located handhole to house. An open back junction box including a detachable and reattachable rear cover plate is pre-assembled with a plaster ring, electrical device, and leads, at a prefab facility. Conduit spacers useful in preparing duct banks with reduced electromagnetic fields (EMF) are disclosed. Coiled tubing with a secured conduit and a method for manufacturing same. A slickline held by a retainer is introduced to the coiled tubing manufacturing process by attaching the retainer and slickline to a metal plate, prior to the metal plate being welded into a tubular. The slickline is unaffected by the welding and heat treatment process or processes. To install the conduit into the coiled tubing, the coiled tubing is unrolled from the reel, the conduit is attached to an end of the slickline and the other end of the slickline pulled to fish the conduit through the coiled tubing, resulting in conduit held within the retainer inside the coiled tubing. In embodiments where a slickline is not used, the conduit can be pumped into the retainer or dropped therein by gravity when the coiled tubing is hung in a wellbore. Alternatively, a heat resistant conduit may be secured within the coiled tubing by attachment directly to the coiled tubing or held therein by a retainer.

Conduit spacers useful in preparing duct banks with reduced electromagnetic fields (EMF) are disclosed. The conduit spacers are designed to maximize phase cancellation of EMF from a closely-spaced series of electric power cables placed in conduits supported underground by the conduit spacers. The apparatus comprises a body frame with an outlet box mounting frame and ears that extend outwardly from each corner. Each ear has a screw hole, which is precisely positioned, so that the bracket can be used to measure and install an electrical outlet at a specified height.
