Реферат: 1537393 Mounting engines in vehicles DRESSER INDUSTRIES Inc 15 March 1976 f7 April 19751 10330/76 Heading B7H In a vehicle suitable for use in a mine, an internal combustion engine 20 is removable from from a compartment 7 by first detaching compartment members 12, 14, 16 from the chassis 5 and sliding the engine horizontally on the chassis out of the compartment without interference with structure above the vehicle. The engine 20 is contained in a power pack 10 also including an air filter 21 and flame arrester 25, a radiator and fan 22, 23, exhaust gas scrubber 24, and a compressed air system (26) Fig. 3 (not shown). The power pack 10 is mounted on yokes 41, 42 including mounting pads 43, 44 which slide along horizontal supports 31 fixed on the chassis 5. Rubber mounts or springs (45) Fig. 4 (not shown) can be interposed between the pads 43, 44 and the yokes 41, 42. The radiator (22) may be mounted on the front pads 43. The pads are bolted to mounting holes 32 of the supports 31 and the necessary connections made to the transmission 52 mounted on the chassis. The power pack can be pulled out of its compartment by a carriage including a winch and the vehicle can be designed to allow removal of the power pack from the sides or rear of the chassis rather than the front as shown.
