Реферат: 12-22C alpha-Olefine (I) and 12-20C vinylidenic olefins (II) are prepd. by (a) polymerising ethylene with organometallic catalyst at elavted temp. and pressure, separating the catalyst from the polymsn. effluent to leave a mixture of alpha-olefins, separating this mixture into fractions (A) contng. 6-12C alpha-olefins, (B) contng. 12-22C alpha-olefins, and (C) contng. 22-28C alpha-olefins and (b) dimerising fraction (A) with organometallic catalyst at elevated temp. and pressure to give a polymsn. effluent contng. catalyst and mixture of vinylidenic olefins, diluting this effluent with fraction (C), separating from this diluted effluent a fraction (D) contng. 12-20C vinylidenic olefins and recycling the remainder of the diluted effluent contng. organo-metallic catalyst to the first stage of (a). (I) and (II) are solvents and starting materials for detergent olefin sulphonates, normal alcohols, polymers and copolymers.
