Реферат: Acylamide derivatives of the formula I below are suitable as antidotes or safeners for protecting crop plants, in particular cereals, maize, panic grasses and rice, against the phytotoxic effect of chloroacetanilide herbicides without simultaneously reducing the desired herbicidal activity against weeds. The acylamide derivatives have the formula I <IMAGE> in which A denotes a straight-chain, branched or cyclic C1-C8-hydrocarbon radical which can be unsubstituted or substituted by alkoxy, alkylthio, fluorine, cyano or haloalkyl, X denotes haloalkyl or haloalkenyl, R denotes hydrogen, a straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated C1-C5-hydrocarbon radical which can be unsubstituted or substituted by alkoxy, polyalkoxy, halogen, cyano or trifluoromethyl, or denotes cycloalkyl, alkylcycloalkyl, dialkoxyalkyl, 1,3-dioxolan-2-ylalkyl, 1,3-dioxolan-4-ylalkyl, 1,3-dioxan-2-ylalkyl, furylalkyl, tetrahydrofurylalkyl or a radical -NH-COOR1, -CH2-COOR, -CH(CH3)COOR1 or an alkoxyiminoalkyl radical -CH(R2)-C(R3)=N-OR4, where R1 denotes methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl or allyl, R2 and R3 in each case denote hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl and R4 denotes hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C3-C6-alkenyl or C3-C6-alkynyl. h
