[Class 29.] Vacuum machines.- The refrigerant vapour, for example sulphur dioxide, is withdrawn from the evaporator 4 by an ejector 2 supplied with inducing liquid, preferably a neutral uncongealable oil, by a centrifugal pump 1. The mixed fluids are delivered to a condenser coil and gravity separator 3, cooled by air or water, whence the liquefied refrigerant passes through an expansion valve 5 to the evaporator.
