Table games. - In appliances for playing a table game simulating cricket and including a model batsman, fieldsmen, ball shoot, pitch and field, the batsman is rotatable about a vertical pivot at the batting crease, and the bat is formed integral with the batsman's arm, the latter being pivoted to the batsman's body. As shown in Fig. 1, the body of the batsman is formed of two pivotally connected parts 10, 11 in the upper of which a bat 13 having an extension 15 is mounted. In a modification, Fig. 4, the body of the batsman is formed in one piece and the bat is operated by a lever 18 and compression spring 20. Means for bowling the ball comprise a shoot 28 mounted on a plate 29, Fig. 6, and provided with a telescopic support 31 by means of which the inclination of the shoot may be adjusted. The batsman is rotatably mounted on a pin 24 at one end of a pitch and the bowling device is similarly mounted on a pin 34 at the other end of the pitch. Stumps 35 are formed by slitting and bending back a portion of the pitch. The pitch is situated in the centre of a field 37 which is marked with lines 38 - - 41 indicating the scoring values of hits. Model fieldsmen comprising figures, Fig. 3, the bases of which each comprise a ramp 26 leading to a cup 27, are distributed over the field. The ball may be formed of metal, wood or soft rubber and may have a bias.
