New or Improved Speed Indicator for Indicating the Number of Rotations per Unit of Time of Record Disks or Cylinders of Gramophones, Phonographs and the like.
Реферат: 16,360. Sacerdote, P. Aug. 1. Speed indicators -The brake disk of a gramaphone or like machine, controlled by the usual centrifugal governor, actuates a sliding rod which i; connected through levers and a thread to an eccentric on the spindle of a speed - indicating pointer. The disk a of the governor is controlled by a block b, which is adjusted by a button h, a pin-wheel g, and the toothed sector d<1> of a lever d. Movement of the disk displaces the tappet k keyed on the rod l sliding in a bracket m on the casing o; the inner end of the rod carries a rod p, the other end of which engages a bent lever q supported by a bracket y. On the other end of the lever q is attached a thread r, which passes over an eccentric s on the spindle t and is fixed to one of its flanges, being then wound around again and attached to a rod x of a coil spring x<1>. The displacement of the rod l causes the bent lever q to turn, and draws the thread r, which, in unwinding from the eccentric, rotates the pointer. The scale of the indications may as a whole be varied by altering the position of the thread on the lever q ; for this purpose the arm of the lever is formed with spirals as shown, and the thread can engage any one of the spirals. The eccentric allows the scale to be made of equal divisions, since for the same displacement of the lever q the angular displacement of the pointer will be proportional to the radius of the eccentric at the point of contact.
