Реферат: 7902. Thost, O. April 14. Firebridges; firebars and grates; smoke consuming.- Relates to a hot-air firebringe for effecting the combustion of the fuel gases. The bridge is composed of quadrant-shaped grate bars b mounted side by side over a chamber a, each bar being provided with a narrow downward extension, hollowed out on both sides, and formed with apertures c for the delivery of air. The admission of air to the chamber a is regulated by the damper d. The bars b may be cast directly on the usual grate bars, in which case the chamber a is dispensed with. In order to effect a further mixing of the air with the fuel gases, the flue may be provided at a small distance from the firebridge with a lining of firebrick. The application to reverberatory furnaces is mentioned in the Specification.
