Improvements in the Manufacture of Electric Cables for Telegraphic and Telephonic Purposes.

Реферат: 1967. Dover, H. W. Jan. 24. Cables.-Relates to the formation of multiple cables from conductors coated with celluloid &c., as described in Specification No. 5427, A.D. 1901. The cores may be bunched or twisted, and then coated with celluloid &c., and a further fibrous or wire coating covered with similar insulating- material. In a modified form, the bunched cable is loosely enclosed in a tube consisting of fibres or wires embedded in celluloid &c. The Figure shows a section of the cover-forming apparatus, in which the cable B passes through a central guide, and a loose cover C is formed by a die a, d and guides e for the fibre &c. strips.
