Реферат: 7911. Hambruch, H. F. April 11, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Knives, forks, &c., cleaning and polishing.-In machines in which knives, forks, &c. are cleaned and polished or sharpened between the peripheries of a pair of disks, the disks are formed with rims consisting of flexible rings b covered with thin cleaning and polishing bands a stretched on them, and the axles of the disks are so close together that the rims are pressed into contact along a considerable area and so afford a large, flat cleaning-surface. The disk-shaped bodies may be formed, as in Fig. 3, of a pair of disks d with peripheral, inturned flanges e. Angle-pieces f, fixed to the steel rim b, underlap or engage the flanges e, and are forced into close contact therewith by the pressure of the parts of the two rims in contact. The knife is inserted horizontally and supported on adjustable rollers h. To ensure regular rotation, a pawl i may be provided. In another form, shown in Fig. 4, a single disk d' is provided, with two peripheral flanges beneath which angle-pieces f<1>, which may be provided with. guide-extensions f <2>, engage.
