Improvements in Cycle Frames.

Frames; heads.-Relates to the form of frame described in Specification No. 18,371, A.D. 1893, and consists mainly of an arrangement to allow the cycle to be used by a lady. The construction of the frame will be seen by reference to Fig. 1. The saddle k is mounted between two pairs of stays o and j, held in position by wires p and q, and the frame bars n are arranged lower than in the gentleman's machine. The handle-bar may be mounted on a stem s, Fig. 2, fitting in a socket r, carried by the forks. A lug m<1> on the socket is connected by a pin t with the frame m, or the frame may carry a ring encircling the socket, ball bearings being interposed between the ring and a lug on the socket.
