This approach of using the light diffusing layer in combination with the wavelength conversion layer solves the problem of variations or non-uniformities in the color of emitted light with emission angle. In addition, the color appearance of the lighting apparatus in its OFF state can be improved by implementing the light diffusing layer in combination with the wavelength conversion layer. Moreover, significant reductions can be achieved in the amount phosphor materials required to implement phosphor-based LED devices.

A LED light bulb includes a bulb casing, a control circuit, a light reflective heat sink, a supporting member and a plurality of LEDs. The supporting member is mounted in a receiving cavity of the bulb casing at a position having physical contact with the light reflective heat sink. The LEDs are spacedly provided on the supporting member to form a LED matrix thereon, wherein when the LEDs are activated to generate light, the light generated by the LEDs is arranged to be reflected by the supporting member and the light reflective heat sink to form high intensity illumination of the LED light bulb, while heat generated by the LEDs are effectively transferred and dissipated by the light reflective heat sink through the supporting member so as to prevent overheating in the receiving cavity.

The sheer layer extends over at least a portion of the frame so light from the light source passes through at least a portion of the sheer layer as it exits or enters the fixture. A coating is located on at least a portion of an external and/or internal surface of the fixture. The light bending particles are coupled to the coating such that light colliding with the light bending particles is altered to create a desired visual effect. Lighting devices and/or systems offer dynamic control or tuning of color of light. The lighting systems utilize sources, such as solid state sources, to individually pump a number of different phosphors of types having relatively high degrees of color purity. The phosphor emissions, however, are still broader than the traditionally monochromatic color emissions of LEDs. The different phosphors can be independently excited to controllable levels, by individually controlled sources rated for emission of energy of the same spectrum. Adjustment of intensities of electromagnetic energy emitted by the sources independently adjusts levels of excitations of the phosphors selected to emit different colors of relatively high purity and thus the contributions of pure colors to the combined light output, for example, to enables color adjustment of the light output over a wide range of different selectable colors encompassing much of the gamut of visible light.

The light emitting assembly includes a light source baseboard located in the light transmissive portion and a circuit board connecting to the light source baseboard. The circuit board is surrounded by a heat sink. The heat sink includes a heat collecting section and a holding section extended from the heat collecting section into the power receiving base such that the power receiving base fully encases the heat sink without exposing. The inner surface of the power receiving base connects to the outer surface of the holding section so that heat generated by the light source baseboard is absorbed by the heat collecting section and transmitted via the holding section to the power receiving base for dissipating.

In one embodiment, a process for producing a bisphenol A product comprises: reacting phenol with acetone in the presence of a sulfur containing promoter to obtain a reaction mixture comprising bisphenol A, phenol, and the promoter; after reacting the phenol with the acetone, cooling to form a crystal stream comprising crystals of bisphenol A and phenol; separating the crystals from the crystal steam; melting the crystals to form a molten stream of bisphenol A, phenol, and sulfur; contacting the molten stream with a base to reduce a sulfur concentration in the molten stream and form a reduced sulfur stream; and removing phenol from the reduced sulfur stream to form a bisphenol A product.

A lamp ( 1 ) has one or more LED's ( 2 ), supported above an open structure ( 7 ). The lamp ( 1 ) is made from thermoplastic material and has a base ( 3 ) including threads ( 4 ) and a lower contact ( 5 ). A thermoplastic body ( 6 ) of larger diameter is located above the base and has an open structure portion ( 7 ) preferably shaped as a truncated inverted and open cone.
