Tests patterns can be automatically generated for the programmable circuit elements and interconnections on a programmable circuit. A connectivity graph represents programmable interconnections and functions as nodes. Tests routes are generated that connect the nodes in the connectivity graph between control points and observation points on the programmable circuit. The routes are grouped into configuration patterns that can be tested in one test cycle. Test vectors are then applied to the routes to determine if the interconnects and circuit functions are operable. Systems and methods of the present invention automatically create test patterns for a programmable circuit to reduce engineer time. The present invention also reduces test time and resources by increasing the number of interconnections and circuit elements tested in each configuration pattern.

Testing hard-wired IP interface signals using a soft scan chain

A set of boundary scan registers are implemented by reconfiguring the functional blocks of a reconfigurable device. This "soft-wired" set of boundary scan registers can be used to test the interface connections between the IP core and the functional blocks of the reconfigurable device. Additionally, the set of boundary scan registers only exists when a testing configuration is loaded into the reconfigurable device. When testing is complete, the testing configuration is erased and the functional blocks may implement other operations. Thus, the set of boundary scan registers consumes no additional chip area. Furthermore, as the set of boundary scan registers disappears after testing, a functional path enabling normal operation modes is unnecessary. Therefore, manually created functional test data is not needed. Instead, ATPG software can create test data from hardware descriptions of the IP core and the set of boundary scan registers.

The invention provides a method and system for controlling the conversion of crystalline insoluble cellulose to an organic product in a bioreactor containing crystalline insoluble cellulose and a culture medium. A processor of a computing device receives an input from a sensor in the bioreactor. The input may be a measurement of one or more of concentration, temperature, pH and pressure. The processor calculates conversion of cellulose using the input to provide a total calculated organic product in the bioreactor. The processor receives a further input from a sensor in the bioreactor of the total actual organic product and compares the total calculated organic product and the total actual organic product. The processor then transmits an instruction to an agitator associated with the bioreactor to control agitation of the content of the bioreactor if the total actual organic product is outside a predetermined range of the total calculated organic product.
