Paddle slipper that offers wearing comfort

Номер: US20120017470A1
Автор: Kung-Sheng Pan
Принадлежит: Individual

A paddle slipper includes an insole for the contact of the sole of a user's foot, and an outsole bonded to the bottom side of the insole for contacting the ground and defining at a bottom side thereof a front open zone, a front support zone and a rear support zone. The front and rear support zones of the outsole lift the insole so that the user's sole is kept above the ground, lowering the chance of water-wetting the sole of the user's foot when the user is paddling. A front groove is defined between front protruding blocks of the front support zone, facilitating discharge of pressure from the user's sole. The front open zone design offers wearing comfort when the user is walking.

Method Of Manufacturing A Contoured Fluid-Filled Chamber With Tensile Structures

Номер: US20120233880A1
Принадлежит: Nike Inc

In one method of manufacturing a fluid-filled chamber, two polymer layers are located between two mold portions, the surfaces of the mold portions cooperatively defining a peripheral cavity with first and second regions, an inward extent of the first region exceeding an inward extent of the second region. A tensile structure may be positioned between the polymer layers and the mold portions may be compressed together. Part of a peripheral portion of the chamber may be formed by drawing first and second areas of the chamber against the first and second regions of the peripheral cavity, respectively. After pressurization, the first region of the peripheral cavity may have a greater extent of outward protrusion than the second region of the peripheral cavity. Accordingly, an asymmetric medio-lateral shape may be imparted to the chamber without the use of a tensile structure that is itself tapered or contoured.

Fluid compression system

Номер: US20120233989A1

A fluid pump ( 10 ) has a compression member ( 12 ) having a variably-sized compression surface ( 13 b ) movable against fluid pressure in a chamber ( 22 ). The effective surface area of the compression member ( 12 ) decreases in size together with a corresponding cross-sectional area of the chamber ( 22 ) from a maximal area at a beginning of the compression stroke to a minimal area at the end of the compression stroke. Using a variably-sized surface area to compress a fluid volume allows obtaining a rapid gain of fluid pressure even for applications in which the compression member ( 12 ) is actuated at relatively low frequencies and under the action of relatively small forces.
