Method of controlling fluid movement in a foot support system

Номер: EP4157011A1
Принадлежит: Nike Innovate CV USA

Methods of changing fluid pressure in a component of an article of footwear include: (a) receiving input data indicating a target pressure for fluid pressure in a first footwear component, wherein the first footwear component is a foot support bladder (200) or a fluid container (400); (b) moving fluid through a continuous fluid line that extends between a first port of a manifold (800) or a sealing connector (840) and a second port of the manifold (800) or sealing connector (840), wherein the first port is in fluid communication with the first footwear component, and wherein the second port is in fluid communication with a second footwear component or an external environment; (c) measuring fluid pressure in the continuous fluid line as fluid moves through the continuous fluid line using a first pressure sensor (850A, 850B); (d) determining an adjusted fluid pressure based on the fluid pressure measured by the first pressure sensor (850A, 850B) during the measuring step; and (e) stopping fluid flow through the continuous fluid line when the adjusted fluid pressure determined in the determining step is within a predetermined range of the target pressure. Such methods can help avoid repeated "starts" and "stops" of fluid transfer components due to pressure "offset" and target pressure overshoot or undershoot.

Fluid Systems and Foot Support Systems Including Inflatable Foot Support Chambers with Varying Foot Support Pressure and Footwear Products Including Such Systems

Номер: US20240358113A1

Fluid systems switch between a high pressure configuration and a low pressure configuration. Such fluid systems may be incorporated into sole structures and/or footwear in which the fluid systems may be used to vary foot support pressure between a high pressure foot support configuration (e.g., a firmer and more responsive configuration for more active uses) and a low pressure foot support configuration (e.g., a softer and more comfortable configuration for standing or less active uses). Some examples of this technology may use a manually activated interface to switch between the high pressure foot support configuration and the low pressure foot support configuration. In other examples, the fluid system may be configured to automatically change between the high pressure foot support configuration (e.g., when the wearer moves) and the low pressure foot support configuration (e.g., when the wearer remains stationary).

Fluid systems (1700), foot support systems (including sole structures), and/or articles of footwear (250) include: (a) a foot support bladder (1710); (b) a fluid reservoir (1720); (c) a pump (1730) (e.g., a foot-activated pump) including an inlet (1734) and an outlet (1732), the outlet (1732) supplying fluid to the foot support bladder (1710); (d) a first fluid line (1760) placing the fluid reservoir (1720) in fluid communication with the inlet (1734) of the pump (1730); and (e) a second fluid line (1766) placing the foot support bladder (1710) in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir (1720). Such fluid systems (1700), foot support systems, and/or articles of footwear (250) further may include a switch (1740) configured to change the second fluid line (1766) between an open configuration and a closed configuration. When the second fluid line (1766) is in the closed configuration, the pump (1730) moves fluid from the fluid reservoir (1720) to the foot support bladder (1710), and movement of sufficient fluid from the fluid reservoir (1720) to the foot support bladder (1710) with the second fluid line (1766) in the closed configuration decreases a height dimension (H1, H2) of the fluid reservoir (1720). Such fluid systems (1700), foot support systems, and/or articles of footwear (250) further may include a fluid line support member (600) (e.g., for supporting fluid line (1764) and/or fluid line (1766)).
