Cpd. of formula I (Go-1428) and its salts. Antiviral agents. 8.8 g. II in 150 ml. THF was treated with 3.96 g. III and 3.6 ml. 37% aqs. formaldehyde. Mixture refluxed for 3 hrs., solvent evaporated and residue stirred with 2 ml. ethanol, cooled, filtered and recryst. from absolute ethanol to give I, m.p. 172 deg.C.[1][2]
