Thread-turning device

The invention relates to machine tool construction. Arranged in the housing (1) of the device are a drive camshaft (7) and a slide (3) which is kinematically connected to the drive camshaft (7) and is constructed so as to be displaceable along the axis of the camshaft (7). A tool holder (4) displaceable in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the camshaft (7) is arranged in the slide (3). The slide (3) and the holder (4) are driven by different sections of the camshaft (7). Pivotably arranged in the slide (3) is a three-armed lever (10) which carries at its ends a setting roller (11) and a withdrawal roller (12) which interact with the camshaft (7) as well as a locking roller (14) which interacts with the holder (4). The axle (9) of the lever (10) is of elastically deformable construction and is arranged in such a way that the plane lying in the geometric pivoting axis of the lever (10) and the geometric axis of the locking roller (14) is approximately perpendicular to the contact surface "holder (4) - locking roller (14)" in the working position of the tool. The movement of the holder (4) and the pivoting of the lever (10) are limited by the stops (8 and 15). The device is used in automatic lathes. <IMAGE>
