[Class 97 (ii)] In a spirit level the bubble is carried in a housing 6 angularly adjustable with respect to the main body 1 of the level, in a plane substantially at right angles to the working face. The housing 6 is pivoted at the centre of a semi-circular bridge piece 3 on an adjustable bent member secured by a nut 10. A locking screw 11 clamps the housing to the bridge piece after angular adjustment. A removable stop 15 and V-shaped adjustable stops 16, 24 are provided to facilitate setting and adjustment of the housing when the device is to be used as a plumb or as a level. A further adjustable stop 21 is provided for setting to a frequentlyused angle. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 2554/91, 10061/05 and 4040/07, [all in Class 97].
