[Class 108 (i)] In a truck comprising a platform 11, Fig. 1, wheels 12 and legs 13, a depending leg 14 for engagement with a lifting trolley 22 is adapted to be raised clear of the bottom of the truck so that an elevating truck can be run under the truck for transporting purposes. As shown in Fig. 4, the leg 14 is pivoted on a bolt 16 and is provided with a spring plunger bolt 18 which either engages a hole 17 to retain the leg in a depending position or engages in lateral holes to maintain the leg horizontal. The end of the leg is provided with a socket 20 for engagement with a spigot 21, Fig. 1, of the lifting trolley, a lip 9 on the socket assisting the engagement between the spigot and socket. The socket may be provided on the lifting trolley and the spigot on'the leg 14. In a modification, the leg is mounted between two side cheeks provided with a bolt engaging in a slot in the leg, a spring engaging the bolt and projecting pegs on the leg adapted to engage in a recess in the bottom or top of the side cheeks such that by pulling the leg down, the leg is disengaged from the recess and may be swung into a vertical position in which it is locked by the peg engaging the recess in the top of the cheeks. In a further modification, the socket is reversible in a bracket attached to the platform. Specifications 415,837 and 475,746 are referred to.
