Die Erfindung betrifft ein Blockier-System, das die Lenkfunktion der lenkbaren Räder eines schiebbaren Gestells, Kinderwagens, Rollators oder eines ähnliches Gestells blockiert. Das System ist in der Lage die lenkbaren Räder eines Kinderwagens oder z.B. eines Einkaufswagens zeitweise so zu blockieren, dass diese nicht mehr gelenkt werden können. Dadurch wird die Fahrtrichtung behalten, auch wenn die Fahrbahn schräg sein sollte. Das ist hilfreich, wenn man einen Kinderwagen in einem Bus reinfahren möchte, oder wenn man mit einem Rollator in ein mehr oder weniger schräges Gelände fahren möchten. In solchen Fällen kann man vom Schiebegriff aus, die Lenkrollen oder lenkbaren Räder vorne so blockieren, dass die Lenkfunktion ausser Kraft gesetzt wird. Die Räder drehen sich trotzdem ungehindert weiter, nur die Lenkung wird blockiert. Weitere Varianten sehen vor, eine Bremsung der Vorderräder zu bewirken, indem eine MRF-Bremse eingesetzt wird.

A vehicle tracking system includes a wheel containing sensor circuitry capable of sensing various types of conditions, such as specific electromagnetic and/or magnetic signals indicative of particular wheel locations. The sensor circuitry is coupled to an RF transceiver, which may but need not be included within the wheel. The wheel may also include a brake mechanism. In one embodiment, the wheels are placed on shopping carts and are used to collect and monitor shopping cart status and location data via a wireless network. A trolley for moving heavy objects such as wire coils from a machine to a container at a packaging table is provided.
