METHOD OF PRODUCING A COMPOSITE BODY

Metal-metal and metal-glass bonds are obtained with the aid of surface-oxidised polyethylene film under pressure and at elevated temperature. The metal surface here must have been surface-oxidised, and the glass surface must have a deficit of metal and/or network-forming ions with respect to oxygen. This gives particularly good bonds which are resistant to the action of atmospheric influences.
