PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a low-pressure mercury discharge lamp to which a metallic oxide is uniformly deposited on the inner surface of a luminescence tube of the low-pressure mercury discharge lamp having two or more bent parts, and a low-pressure mercury discharge lamp which controls blackening and also meets to high capacity.

SOLUTION: This is a manufacturing method of a low-pressure mercury discharge lamp, wherein an injection tube 3 is provided at each lower bent part 2 in a luminescence tube 1 having two or more bent parts 2, a tube 5 for air suction is provided at each upper bent part 2 in the luminescence tube 1, a coating solution is exhausted from each lower injection tube 3 at a constant speed when the coating solution is injected into the luminescence tube 1 from each lower injection tube 3 and the coating solution is injected in an entire inside of the luminescence tube 1, and then a metallic oxide layer is formed on an inner surface of the luminescence tube 1. The metallic oxide is uniformly formed as a coating on the entire inside of luminescence tube 1 of the low- pressure mercury discharge lamp having two or more bent parts 2.
