HYDROCARBON CONCENTRATION MEASURING INSTRUMENT, AND HYDROCARBON CONCENTRATION MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocarbon concentration measuring instrument and a hydrocarbon (concentration) measuring method, capable of measuring precisely a concentration of a hydrocarbon with satisfactory responsiveness, even when the concentration and a composition of the hydrocarbon contained in a measuring objective gas vary.

SOLUTION: The measuring objective gas is irradiated with a light, having a wavelength band including a common absorption region absorbed by a single or a plurality of chemical species, by an infrared irradiation device 130; the light emitted toward the measuring objective gas is detected by a line sensor 160; absorbance in the common absorption region of the measuring objective gas is calculated by an analyzer 190, based on the detected light; and the sum of the concentrations of the chemical species absorbing the light of the wavelength band in the common absorption region is computed from among the single or plurality of chemical species contained in the measuring objective gas, by the analyzer 190, based on the absorbance.
