TUBING CONNECTOR SYSTEM

The tubing connector system (100) provides a removable air-tight and water- tight sealing connection under vacuum conditions between an end portion (102) of a flexible tubing (104) and a tapping hole (108) on a main conduit (106). It includes a single screw- type clamp (120) having an adjustable tension mechanism (122) and a flexible metallic band (124) cooperating with the adjustable tension mechanism (122), a tube fitting (150), and a resilient gasket (180), to be interposed between an outer surface of the main conduit (106) and the inner side face of a flange (170) provided on the tube fitting (104), to seal a space immediately surrounding a tapping-hole engaging portion (162) on the tube fitting (104) when brought into cooperative engagement with the inner periphery of tapping hole (108). The sealing attachment can be created very quickly, even by an unexperienced operator, using parts that are relatively inexpensive and simple.

AUTO-VENTED AUTOMATIC STOP FLOW POURING SPOUT

The pouring spout includes a first tube detachably connectable to a liquid-storage container, a second tube slideably connected to the first tube, and a liquid outlet duct and an air inlet duct. The liquid outlet duct and the air inlet duct can be both selectively opened and closed by a spring-biased valve system. The air inlet duct, when the valve system is moved from a closed position to an opened position, is initially made in fluid communication with the liquid-storage container only either simultaneously with the liquid outlet duct or immediately after the liquid outlet duct is initially made in fluid communication with the liquid-storage container. This arrangement prevents the liquid from filling the air inlet duct when the liquid is poured using the pouring spout. It also minimizes evaporation and permeability of the liquid on internal surfaces inside the pouring spout.

SAP COLLECTING ARRANGEMENT

The arrangement (100) includes a sap collecting device (102) and a slide clamp (104). The sap collecting device (102) includes a tubing fixation portion (140) over which the free end of the flexible tubing (106) can be removably inserted with a frictional engagement. The slide clamp (104) includes an annular sleeve portion (180) that is slidingly insertable over the unexpanded outer diameter of the flexible tubing (106) and removably positionable proximate the free end of the flexible tubing (106), when the free end of the flexible tubing (106) is inserted over the tubing fixation portion (140), to constrict the free end of the flexible tubing (106) in a withdrawal-resisting frictional engagement with the tubing fixation portion (140). The slide clamp (104) also includes a plug portion (182) having an outer peripheral wall surface (206) on which the free end of the flexible tubing (106) is removably insertable with a frictional engagement to prevent air and contaminants from entering.

SECURITY CAP WITH LATCH

The security cap is provided for selectively closing an open end of a pipe. It includes inner and outer cap assemblies, at least one latch, and a driving assembly. The outer cap assembly is rotatable with respect to the inner cap assembly. Each latch cooperates with the inner and outer cap assemblies and can be set in two configurations. In the first configuration, each latch is drawn away from an outer groove of the open end of the pipe so that the security cap can be removed. In the second configuration, each latch is engaged with the outer groove for preventing the security cap from being removed.

Sap collecting arrangement

The arrangement (100) includes a sap collecting device (102) and a slide clamp (104). The sap collecting device (102) includes a tubing fixation portion (140) over which the free end of the flexible tubing (106) can be removably inserted with a frictional engagement. The slide clamp (104) includes an annular sleeve portion (180) that is slidingly insertable over the unexpanded outer diameter of the flexible tubing (106) and removably positionable proximate the free end of the flexible tubing (106), when the free end of the flexible tubing (106) is inserted over the tubing fixation portion (140), to constrict the free end in a withdrawal-resisting frictional engagement with the tubing fixation portion (140). The slide clamp (104) also includes a plug portion (182) having an outer peripheral wall surface (206) on which the free end of the flexible tubing (106) is removably insertable to prevent air and contaminants from entering.

TILE FOR USE IN A MODULAR FLOORING SYSTEM

The tile (100) includes a monolithic support grid structure (102) having a rectangular configuration with four peripheral edges (104, 106, 108, 110). The support grid structure (102) includes a lattice framework of elongated rib members (120, 122) crisscrossing at right angle on the underside of the support grid structure (102) and defining a network of cells (124). The material between the peripheral wall surfaces at the removably-insertable collector portion is elastically and temporality deformable in response to a peripheral pressure exerted inwardly on the outer peripheral wall surface when the removably-insertable collector portion is inserted with a forced frictional fit into the tapped hole.
