Dynamic Generation of Auto-Suggest Dictionary for Natural Language Translation

The present technology dynamically generates auto-suggest dictionary data from translation data stored in memory at a server. The auto-suggest dictionary data may be transmitted to a remote device by the server for use in language translation. The auto-suggest dictionary data may be transferred as part of a package which includes content to be translated, translation meta-data, and various other data. The auto-suggest dictionary data may be generated at a first computing device, periodically or in response to an event, from translation data stored in memory. The auto-suggest dictionary may be transferred to a remote device along with content to be translated and other data, as part of a package, for use in translation of the content at the remote device. 1. A method for suggesting translation text comprising:displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) containing a source language;receiving first characters of a translation of the displayed source language;predicting subsequent characters of the translation of the displayed source language; anddisplaying the received first characters and subsequent characters of the translation.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring keystrokes of a translator providing the first characters.3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising comparing the keystrokes to a glossary list.4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising scanning a translation memory and original source text for matches.5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising autocompleting the translation based on matches from the scanned translation memory and received first characters.6. A computer-implemented method for use in natural language translation, including, performing in software processes, the steps of: comparing source material with stored material in a first natural language, said stored material having previously been translated from said first natural language to at least a second natural language, identifying at least a ‘part of said source material which has a relationship with at least a part of said stored material, outputting said identified part of source material and said identified part of stored material in a form suitable for review by a user, and replacing said identified part of source material with said identified part of stored material to assist full translation of said source material from said first natural language to at least said second natural language. 1. A method for reusing content from a translation memory comprising:receiving a predetermined correlation level, the predetermined correlation level being a user definable minimum percentage for a fuzzy logic match;comparing source material in a first language with stored material in the first language, the stored material being retrieved from a stored database and having previously been translated from the first language to a second language;identifying a part of the source material which has a relationship in the first language with at least a part of the stored material in the first language, the relationship exceeding the predetermined correlation level; andoutputting in the first language, the identified part of the source material and the related at least a part of the stored material in a form suitable for review by a user.2. Systems and methods for automatically estimating a translation time including preparation time in addition to the translation itself

A method for automatically estimating a translation time comprises receiving translation data, determining one or more translation parameters based on the translation data, retrieving one or more pre-determined translation coefficients associated with the one or more translation parameters, calculating an estimated translation time based on the one more or more translation parameters and the one or more pre-determined translation coefficients, and a base time to prepare the translation in addition to the translation itself. The method may further comprise reporting the estimated translation time to a user, receiving, from the user, a request to perform a translation associated with the translation data, performing the translation, recording an actual translation time, comparing the actual translation time to the estimated translation time, and based on the comparison, revising the one or more pre-determined translation coefficients to improve the estimating of the translation time.
