An emergency backup power system with an adjustable voltage function mainly includes a backup power apparatus and a control apparatus. The backup power apparatus has a plurality of backup power modules, at least one switch element, and a voltage control unit. Each of the backup power modules produces a capacitor output voltage. The voltage control unit, which is electrically connected to the backup power modules, is provided to turn on the at least one switch element, thus cascading the capacitor output voltages to form a series output voltage. When the control apparatus detects that an external AC power source is disable, the control apparatus controls the voltage control unit to turn on the at least one switch element to produce the adjustable series output voltage, thus supplying power to a back-end load.
