Комбинированный посевной агрегат включает раму с прицепным устройством, бункер с высевающими аппаратами, опорные колеса и сошники. За сошниками установлены катковая приставка, содержащая катки рыхлительного и выравнивающего типов, Н-образную раму, кронштейны и штанги. На каждой штанге установлены гайка и пружина. Каток рыхлительного типа содержит ось и дисковые рыхлители. Дисковые рыхлители установлены на оси катка рыхлительного типа через равные интервалы в горизонтальной плоскости, а по периферии дисковых рыхлителей выполнены треугольные выемки. Вершины, расположенные между треугольными выемками, также выполнены треугольными, двусторонне заточены и направлены в разные стороны от геометрической оси вращения дисковых рыхлителей. Каток выравнивающего типа содержит ось, наружный и внутренний барабаны. Внутренний барабан выполнен пустотелым с гладкой наружной поверхностью. Наружный барабан образован боковыми и промежуточными дисками и прутками. Боковые диски установлены на оси, а промежуточные диски установлены на внешней поверхности внутреннего барабана через равные интервалы в горизонтальной плоскости и со смещением друг относительно друга в вертикальной плоскости. The light source directs light downwardly toward a trench previously opened in a soil surface. The receiver is disposed at an angle relative to the light source to receive reflected light. A sensor connected to the receiver senses a pattern of the reflected light. A monitoring system in communication with the sensor, generates a data frame containing triangulated line coordinates and intensity values of the reflected light indicative of a measured depth of the trench. The generated data frame may be associated with GPS coordinates for generating spatial maps and may be used to control operating parameters. The generated data frames may also identify relative soil moisture versus trench depth, or presence of dry topsoil or residue in the trench, or to identify seeds, seed spacing and seed depth.

Depth of penetration of a soil coulter is detected using a sensor being mounted on the side of the disk adjacent the edge such that the sensor as the disk rotates is located above the surface of the soil during a first part of its rotation and is located below the surface during a second part of its rotation. The transplanter is designed to harness power from a walk-behind tractor to help small farmers transplant (among other things) seedling vegetables. A row unit for a seeding machine , the row unit comprising:a frame;a first gauge wheel arm pivotally coupled to the frame;a first gauge wheel coupled to the first gauge wheel arm;a second gauge wheel arm pivotally coupled to the frame;a second gauge wheel coupled to the second gauge wheel arm; anda depth sensor having a potentiometer coupled to the first gauge wheel arm.2. The row unit of claim 1 , wherein the depth sensor includes a differential gearbox coupled to the potentiometer claim 1 , and wherein the potentiometer is a single potentiometer coupled to both the first gauge wheel arm and the second gauge wheel arm.3. The row unit of claim 2 , wherein the depth sensor includes a first link coupled to the first gauge wheel arm and a second link coupled to the second gauge wheel arm claim 2 , wherein the differential gearbox includes a housing claim 2 , a first bevel gear coupled to the first link and disposed at least partially within the housing claim 2 , a second bevel gear coupled to the second link and disposed at least partially within the housing claim 2 , a third bevel gear disposed at least partially within the housing claim 2 , and a fourth bevel gear disposed at least partially within the housing claim 2 , wherein the first bevel gear claim 2 , the second bevel gear claim 2 , the third bevel gear claim 2 , and the fourth bevel gear are in mutual engagement with one another.4. The row unit of claim 3 , wherein the differential gearbox includes a pin structure that couples both the third bevel gear and the fourth bevel gear to the housing.5.
