Connecting shelving (28-30) and other hanging components (hanging baskets, boxes, prongs and Perspex display holders) to a backing board (27) without the need to permanently fix by screws or have large and unsightly brackets gives the impression of floating shelves as the interlocking pieces are hidden within the back board and the shelf. The shelves have a pre fitted protruding aluminium extrusion piece that fits into and locks into a dovetail piece that is pre-installed into a pre-cut triangle groove in the backboard (27). The backing board has a number of pre-cut grooves (to suit customer requirements) running the length of the board that are filled with the dovetail extrusions. The shelves can be removed without tools, can take significant weight and cannot be accidently dislodged.

A REFRIGERATOR SHELF

A shelf is defined by a tempered glass panel bonded to opposing flanges of a pair of metal shelf brackets carrying hooks for connection to and adjustment along vertical trackways in refrigerator compartments. Adhesive constitutes the sole means for maintaining the shelf substantially rigidly united. Each shelf bracket includes at least one abutment surface for engaging an edge of the shelf panel or a handgrip member carried thereby to assure perfect alignment between the components during curing of the adhesive. Each shelf bracket is defined by a shelf arm and a flange with the flanges having pockets housing the adhesive. The shelf arms may additionally include uppermost projections for engaging side edges of the shelf panel and/or at least one additional flange, such that side edge portions of the shelf panel can be housed between the pair of vertically spaced longitudinally offset flanges of each shelf bracket.

At least one support bracket includes a U-shaped mounting flange having an upwardly extending connecting wall that includes a spacer wall portion having a predetermined width and an engagement wall portion that is connected to the spacer wall portion and that extends beyond the predetermined width of the spacer wall portion. The support bracket is connected to the shelf member by positioning the U-shaped mounting flange of the support bracket within the wall portions of the shelf member to provide a secure connection without the use of tools.

DISPLAY FIXTURE SYSTEM

A display fixture is provided for holding and displaying merchandise for sale. The display system includes a flat display panel (12) and a pair of side walls (26) extending from the edges (16) of the display panel (12). The display panel (12) includes one means for attaching a merchandise shelf, hook or the like for holding and displaying the merchandise. The display panel and side walls are integral with each other, are made of sheet metal, and have outwardly projecting support channels extending length of the panel. The held and displayed merchandise has a weight that is substantially all transferred vertically downwards through the display fixture system such that the system requires relatively small holders to keep it upright.

Cantilever Shelving System

A cantilever shelving system is disclosed and can include a frame structure, a cantilever shelf support structure, and a plurality of load-bearing shelves that can be supported by the cantilever shelf support structure and the frame structure. The shelves can be positioned laterally adjacent to cantilever support arms of the cantilever shelf support structure, and the shelf support surfaces can be coplanar with upper walls of the cantilever support arms. Ends of laterally adjacent shelves do not overlap with a front side of a vertical support member to which the cantilever support arm is mounted. The cantilever shelving system can include a low-profile base support and can accommodate various user requirements and can be operably integrated with standard commercial and/or industrial equipment or machinery.

The specification discloses a method for containing spills on shelving and the like, and the resulting support members made in accordance with the method, by providing the generally flat top surface of a support with a hydrophobic surface which is arranged in a spill containment pattern and which is generally in the plane of the top surface of the support. A method for setting a shelf surface angle includes movably attaching a bracket to a wall, positioning a component within a notch defined by the bracket, extending the component into the wall, and, by adjusting the extension of the component, causing the bracket to move relative to the wall until the angle is achieved. A system for setting a shelf surface angle includes a support arm and a means, attached to the support arm, for setting the angle.

MOUNTING BRACKET

A mounting bracket for a slotted member such as a upright for a display fixture to allow shelves and other components to be mounted to the fixture has a main body portion having a connector bore for the component element to be affixed to the bracket. A hook at a first end of the main body engages a wall of a slot in the slotted member, while a tab at a second end of the main body member is offset rearwardly from the body member by an arm, the arm and tab being spaced from the hook a distance such that the arm extends through another slot of the slotted member. At least one of the hook and arm are position to engage an edge of the slot of the slotted member to position the bracket on the member. A portion of the tab lies behind a further slot when the bracket is installed on the slotted member, and has a threaded bore to accept a mounting bolt inserted from the front side of the slotted member to fix the mounting bracket in place on the slotted member.

Floating shelf apparatus

A floating shelf apparatus that includes a mounting bracket and a shelf. The mounting bracket is coupled directly to a support surface such as a wall and the shelf is mounted to the support surface to hang the shelf from the support surface. The mounting bracket includes a first portion that is coupled to the wall, a second portion having an S-shape that extends from a first end of the first portion, and a third portion having a linear shape that extends from a second end of the first portion. The shelf includes a ledge portion upon which items may be supported and a mounting portion that facilitates mounting the shelf to the mounting bracket. The mounting portion has a mounting element that interacts with the second portion of the mounting bracket to mount the shelf to the mounting bracket.

A spill proof shelf, a refrigerator using the same and a method for assembling a shelf are disclosed. The shelf has a frame, which has a peripheral frame portion for defining a central opening. The shelf further has a plate supported by the peripheral frame portion for providing a containment region in cooperation with the opening. The shelf further has a bracket mountable to the frame. The shelf further has a pivotable tab formed in the peripheral frame portion, which pivots to engage the plate upon mounting of the bracket to the frame.

A wall mounted storage system includes at least one pair of spaced apart vertical hanger bars for attachment to a studded wall or comparable structure. At least one removable shelf support bracket is associated with each hanger bar, and the bracket is removably connected to the bar at any one of a plurality of vertical locations along the bar. A shelf is supported by the brackets and releasably attached thereto by rear hooks on the brackets that hook over the rear rail of the shelf. An upwardly extending retainer loop on each bracket extends through the shelf and engages the front rail thereof. A shelving system includes first and second side members. A cross member is coupled to the side members. A guide member is coupled to the cross member such that the guide member is movable relative to the cross member. A container including a rail is coupled to the guide member. The rail includes a first locking element and a second locking element that is connected to the first locking element. The container includes a handle having a third locking element that engages the first locking element. The locking elements are configured to move the container between a first orientation in which the container is provisionally fixed to the guide member and a second orientation in which the container can translate relative to the guide member.

A shelf assembly includes a pair of shelf adapter brackets each defined by first and second shelf bracket members, one of which includes vertically disposed opposing slideways into which open a plurality of vertically spaced slots and the other of which includes a plurality of supporting projections which move in the slideways and seat in the slots to effect selectively vertical adjustment of an associated shelf. Shelf bracket lock

A locking bracket system comprises a bracket lock and a bracket. The bracket lock may be slidably positioned along the lateral length of the bracket to transition between locked and unlocked configurations. When locked, an upper cantilever tab on the bracket lock secures a wire frame shelf that is recessed in a groove on the bracket. When unlocked, the wire frame shelf is not obstructed by the bracket shelf lock and may be removed. A solid shelf may be used in combination with the locking bracket system, as the bracket shelf lock does not obstruct the shelving plane upon which the solid shelf sits.

Cantilever Shelving System

A cantilever shelving system is disclosed and can include a frame structure, a cantilever shelf support structure, and a plurality of load-bearing shelves that can be supported by the cantilever shelf support structure and the frame structure. The shelves can be positioned laterally adjacent to cantilever support arms of the cantilever shelf support structure, and the shelf support surfaces can be coplanar with upper walls of the cantilever support arms. Ends of laterally adjacent shelves do not overlap with a front side of a vertical support member to which the cantilever support arm is mounted. The cantilever shelving system can accommodate various user requirements and can be operably integrated with standard commercial and/or industrial equipment or machinery.

The invention is a mantel or shelf made of a solid block of reclaimed wood with a hidden mounting assembly. The mantel has sufficient thickness, depth and length to accommodate an elongated L-shaped sheet metal bracket with planar horizontal and vertical flanges to allow selective lateral positioning of the mantel relative to its securement to spaced vertical wall studs. An adjustable shelf includes a wall mount for coupling to a wall. A fixed post extends downwardly from the wall mount along a first axis. A post assembly has a rotatable tube coupled to the fixed post so that the rotatable tube rotates about the first axis. An arm extends from the rotatable tube along a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis. A shaft rotatably couples within the arm and extends from the arm along the second axis, the shaft being rotatable about the second axis between an operational orientation and a storage orientation. A tray extends from the shaft for holding a keyboard. In the storage orientation, the tray is substantially parallel to the wall and, in the operational orientation, the tray is at an angle with respect to the wall. A locking assembly selectively fixes the tray in the operational orientation and the storage orientation.

Refrigerator shelf

A shelf is defined by a tempered glass panel bonded to opposing flanges of a pair of metal shelf brackets carrying hooks for connection to and adjustment along vertical trackways in refrigerator compartments. Adhesive constitutes the sole means for maintaining the shelf substantially rigidly united. Each shelf bracket includes at least one abutment surface for engaging an edge of the shelf panel or a handgrip member carried thereby to assure perfect alignment between the components during curing of the adhesive. Each shelf bracket is defined by a shelf arm and a flange with the flanges having pockets housing the adhesive. The shelf arms may additionally include uppermost projections for engaging side edges of the shelf panel and/or at least one additional flange, such that side edge portions of the shelf panel can be housed between the pair of vertically spaced longitudinally offset flanges of each shelf bracket.
