A weight device of an exerciser. The exerciser including two guide rods respectively passing through two through holes of an inclined rest board. Multiple weight blocks are placed on the rest board. A front side of the weight block is formed with two insertion slots. The guide rods are inserted into the insertion slots. The inclined rest board makes the weight of the weight blocks downward distributed. So, the weight blocks can be moved up and down without dropping out during operation. The weight blocks are only slightly guided by the guide rods so that it is unnecessary to accurately locate the weight blocks and this greatly reduces the manufacturing cost for the exerciser. Also, the weight blocks can be arbitrarily placed in or taken out and thus when assembling the exerciser, it is unnecessary to assemble the weight blocks with the exerciser at the same time. Therefore, it is easier to assemble the exerciser.

Here is disclosed an attachment for a pull up cable of a weight training machine. The attachment is for use with a free weight having a pair of weights on either end of a handle. The attachment includes an elongated member having opposite ends with a hook formed on each of the opposite ends of the elongated member. An attachment member is formed on the elongated member midway between the opposite ends. Each of the hooks are dimensioned to hook onto the handle portion of the free weight. The hooks are separated from each other by a distance sufficient to permit a user to grasp the handle of the free weight between the hooks. A cam assembly is disclosed which includes a cam having a first cam pivot, a second cam pivot, and a machine shaft guide; a range plate which is engageable with the cam; a belt connected to the cam; and a machine shaft connected to the range plate. The first cam pivot defines the motion of a first arc and the second cam pivot guide defines the motion of a second arc as the cam is adjusted. A method of using a cam assembly is also disclosed which includes engaging an adjustor on a cam; releasing a connection between the cam and a range plate; rotating the cam; releasing the adjustor; and securing a connection between the cam and the range plate.
