Изобретение относится к способу непрерывного осаждения лигнина из черного щелока, в котором pH черного щелока понижают до точки осаждения лигнина и осажденный лигнин отделяют от черного щелока. При этом черный щелок подают так, что он протекает в виде находящегося под давлением потока в реакторе (2) при времени пребывания менее 300 с, подкисляющий агент, выбранный из группы, состоящей из диоксида углерода, кислоты и их комбинаций, вводят в поток в одной или большем количестве точек (2a) подачи, чтобы снизить pH черного щелока, под действием подкисляющего агента в находящемся под давлением потоке pH дают возможность понизиться до точки осаждения лигнина, давление в находящемся под давлением потоке резко сбрасывают и частицы лигнина отделяют от черного щелока. Method involves a system of communicating vessels of which at least one is the pressurised enclosure. This then has an inlet and outlet passage connected to the lower part of the vessel. This is then filled with a fluid medium liquid or gaseous of greater density than the surrounding atmosphere. One side of the pressurised enclosure is formed from the surface of the fluid. This is esp. oil or water. Some form of conveying system is provided between the inlet, the enclosure and the outlet. Used esp. for continuous treatment of food materials e.g. for pressure cooking or treatment to preserve certain qualities. Continuous or quasi-continuous processes using treatments under pressure have had to rely on mechanical seals. This tends to damage the food. The system described avoids this.

The methodology includes measuring an average mobile phase density during a first separation utilizing CO2 as a mo bile phase component and substantially duplicating the average density profile for a second separation. Substantial duplication of the average mobile phase density (e.g., within about 10%, 5%, 2.5%, 1%, 0.5%, 0.1 %, 0.05%) results in chromatography for both system and/or column configurations having similar selectivity and retention factors. Average mobile phase density may be, either measured directly, calculated, or approximated using average pressure or density measurements. A catalyst spray nozzle for injecting a finely atomized spray of liquid catalyst into a high pressure chemical reactor such as an autoclave reaction vessel for polymerizing ethylene into polyethylene. The liquid catalyst is fed under pressure to the discharge end of a passageway in the spray nozzle. A cylindrical valve member is positioned in a cylindrical compartment disposed adjacent to and coaxially with the discharge end of the passageway, and is biased against the discharge end by a spring coaxially positioned in the compartment. The spring biased valve element prevents liquid catalyst from passing through the nozzle until a given backpressure on the catalyst is established. When the given backpressure is reached, the pressure biases the valve member away from the passageway and the catalyst is forced through at least one discharge orifice under sufficient pressure to cause it to be sprayed in a finely atomized state into the reactor. A second embodiment is also disclosed in which belleville washers are utilized to bias the valve element closed against the discharge end of the passageway.

The device comprises a storage vessel (3) containing the powder, a metering valve (4) delivering metered quantities of the powder into an intermediate chamber (5) comprising at least one obstacle (6) separating an upper part (5a) of the chamber (5) comprising an auxiliary gas inlet (2a) from a lower part (5b) terminated by an outlet orifice (5c). A connecting pipe (18) connects the outlet orifice (5c) to a mixing device (8) situated on a conveying pipework (15) communicating with the reactor (20). The powder is introduced into the reactor in a dilute suspension form and in a more uniform rate.
