The outer rolls are adjustable on slides 7 and 10 to accommodate blanks of different diameters. The blank feeding devices may be designed to slip if a blank jams during rolling; as shown, either a sprocket 22 driven by a chain 21 through a friction clutch is used, or a conveyor belt 23 can be urged against the blanks by means of a spring-loaded bar 25 and a fixed bar 24.

The system is particularly for rolling threads and knurling, having two synchronous driven rollers (2, 2') acting as the tool. On the shafts (1, 1') carrying the rollers are one or more further rollers (4, 48) which turn freely, but cannot slide in the axial direction. The diameters of the freely turning rollers can be different from those of the driven one. Each freely turning roller can be in the form of a hollow pressure roller, turning but not sliding on a mounting roller (5a, 5b) which rotates with its respective shaft. The mounting roller can be in two detachable halves forming a peripheral groove between them in which a radial internal rib on the freely turning roller fits. The design allows two different diameter of the work to be machined machined simultaneously.

This invention provides a method for rolling an external pipe thread, a rolling head and device thereof. A rolling wheel carries out a thread rolling, wherein the thread rolling starts from a thread tail of the external pipe thread and moves towards a thread head of the external pipe thread, thereby completing the thread rolling. The rolling head of the invention comprises at least one rolling wheel arranged along a circumference, a corresponding rolling wheel axle and a corresponding rolling wheel seat; the rolling wheel is rotatably fixed to the rolling wheel seat via the rolling wheel axle; and the rolling wheel is provided with a pipe thread forming part having a thread length less than an effective thread length of the external pipe thread to be rolled. The rolling head of the invention also comprises a radial regulating device that can realize dynamic rolling and real-time whole-process regulation of radial position of the rolling wheel for the purpose of forming the taper as required by rolling process. The invention also provides rolling device including aforesaid rolling head. Solutions as provided by this invention are expected to guard against deformation to the pipe end during rolling, significantly save materials for hollowed cylindrical blank, and improve the rate of finished products.

The present invention relates generally to a container that may be sealed and reclosed with a threaded closure. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods of manufacturing a metallic container having an opening with inwardly facing threads. The threads are formed on the metallic container by pressing a neck portion of the metallic container against closure threads of a threaded closure which is inserted at least partially into the opening. The container threads may optionally be formed while the threaded closure is in tension. According to the re-rolling apparatus comprising the improved dice and the dice block of the present invention, since the dice is re-rolled by being elastically supported to the dice block, burr generated in a first-rolled material or precipitate of a rust-prevention and corrosion-resistant painting stained on a surface is able to automatically be removed. At the same time, it is able to be prevented such that a coating layer of the re-rolled material is damaged by the burr or the surface of the coating layer stabbed. Moreover, since cleansing after material processing or a post-process of burr removal by a prior rolling process is able to simply be performed by the re-rolling apparatus of the present invention, the present invention has the effect of reducing post-process work time and improve a quality of a product.
