A lubrication system for a saw may include a lubricator that is mechanically linked to a traveling arm of a saw, such as an up-cut saw. Movement of the saw blade through a first path may result automatically in movement of the lubricator through a second path transverse to the first path. This coupled movement may result in a relatively consistent distance between the lubricator and the periphery of the saw blade, especially as compared with a stationary lubricator.

A saw blade for an oscillating saw can include a plate having cutting teeth arranged in an arcuate tooth pattern at a cutting path. Cutting teeth on opposite sides of the centerline of the plate may be arranged to face oppositely. Each cutting tooth can have primary and secondary relief surfaces at different angles to the cutting path. Cutting teeth may be offset outwardly from the plate, with tips of some of the cutting teeth having outward-facing kerf surfaces parallel to the plate. The plate may be of bimetal construction, so that the cutting teeth and bulk of the plate are made of different materials. The cutting teeth may be formed by a coining process.

An oscillation drive with a drive and with an eccentric coupling drive for converting a rotary motion of the drive into an oscillating rotary motion of a tool spindle about its longitudinal axis is disclosed, wherein the eccentric coupling drive has an eccentric with a first eccentricity that is driven by the drive and that works together with a coupling element that is coupled to the tool spindle in order to convert the motion of the eccentric into an oscillating rotary motion of the tool spindle, wherein the eccentric is coupled to an additional eccentric with a second eccentricity so that the eccentricities are superimposed, wherein the relative position between the eccentric and the additional eccentric is adjustable to at least two different positions in order to change the amplitude of the oscillating motions of the tool spindle. 1. An oscillation drive comprising:a drive; andan eccentric coupling drive for converting a rotary motion of the drive into an oscillating rotary motion of a tool spindle about a longitudinal axis,wherein the eccentric coupling drive has an eccentric with a first eccentricity that is driven by the drive and that works together with a coupling element that is coupled to the tool spindle to convert a motion of the eccentric into an oscillating rotary motion of the tool spindle, andwherein the eccentric is coupled to an additional eccentric with a second eccentricity so that eccentricities are superimposed, wherein a relative position between the eccentric and the additional eccentric is adjustable to at least two different positions in order to change an amplitude of the oscillating motion of the tool spindle.2. In that case, placing of a plurality of thread-shaped bodies on a first circular disc of plastic material is carried out in such a manner that each of the thread-shaped bodies is oriented in radial direction. The invention relates to a method for welding hard material bodies to teeth of a saw blade, in particular of a band saw blade or circular saw blade, wherein each tooth has a joining surface, and each hard material body has a joining surface. The joining surface of the hard material body can be welded to the joining surface of the tooth. The method has the following steps:bringing each tooth of the saw blade into a working region;guiding each hard material body towards the tooth located in the working region;advancing a welding device into the working region;welding the hard material body to the tooth surface of the tooth located in the working region;and withdrawing the welding device out of the working region. According to the invention, at least one welding introduction attachment which protrudes from the joining surface of the tooth is formed on each tooth or at least one welding introduction attachment which protrudes from the joining surface of the hard material body is formed on each hard material body. A novel approach to a commercial circular saw blade designed for efficient lumber cutting as well as extended saw blade life because of a reduction in friction and better heat dispersion.
