An impact wrench for removing and tightening nuts, including wheel lug nuts, which includes a lug bar or shaft provided with a shaped drive at one end to receive a socket of appropriate size, an impact frame rotatably mounted on the lug bar by means of a collar and pinned inside a handling ring for manipulating the impact wrench, and an impact arm secured to the lug bar at a point intermediate the ends of the collar and in the rotational path of a pair of impact bars attached to the impact frame to facilitate impact between the impact bars and the impact arm responsive to rotational force applied to the ring.

[Also in Division B4] The central driving shaft T of an impact wrench I has an enlarged diameter output member having a toothed ratchet portion 1, journal portions 2, 3, and non-circular end portions 4, 6 for driving a detachable socket from either end. The input member comprises a drum-like body casing 8 having tubular bushing members 8a, 8b which are mounted on the journal portions 2, 3 of the shaft, the said members 8b, 8a, respectively, forming supports for the rotor block 17 of the inertia member and a tubular extension 17a thereof. A power spring unit S comprises two spiral leaf-springs Sx, Sy interwound and oppositely connected between the extension 17a of the rotor member and a sleeve 24 mounted for angular movement on the casing 8, the power of the spring being adjustable by a screw 50. The bushing member 8b has three pawl-escapement-producing cams 42 formed on the flange 8b<SP>1</SP>. Three pawls 35 are provided, each pivotally mounted in a cavity in the inertia member 17. During relative angular movement between the driving unit and the inertia assembly escapement and resultant impact operations of the pawls 35 on successively engaged ratchet teeth 38 occur followed by triggering action of the pawls to release the energy stored in the spring S and cause the impact. Sockets 58 are provided in top and bottom walls of the casing 8 for engagement by the lugs 57 of a bar spanner 56. Alternatively, torque imput may be applied to the axially exposed bushing portions 45, 45<SP>1</SP> of the bushing members 8a, 8b.

A torque tool for tightening or loosening connections has a driving element engageable with a turnable part of the connection for turning the turnable part of the connection for tightening or loosening the connection and turnable about an axis, and a power drive configured for acting on the driving element such that the drive acts on the driving element to turn the driving element and thereby to turn the turnable part of the connection over a partial stroke and a space is formed between the drive and the driving element, and the drive is then displaced over the space toward the driving element to act again on the driving element to turn the driving element and thereby to further turn the turnable part of the connection over a further partial stroke.

A socket wrench includes a handle (10) having a housing (12), a drive shank (13) having a ratchet wheel (131) mounted in the housing, two pawl members (16) engaged with the ratchet wheel, a switching member (15) located between the pawl members, two elastic members (S) each biased between the housing and the respective pawl member, a control knob (14) connected with the switching member, a driven arm (21) having a mounting sleeve (20) and an arcuate mounting slot (22), a connecting plate (17) provided on the handle, and two driving arms (18; 19) provided on the connecting plate and received in the mounting slot. When in use, one of the driving arms drives the driven arm by a leverage to drive the drive shank to rotate a socket (30a) to operate a workpiece in an energy-saving manner.

A hammer mechanism includes a hammer (11) that is moved along the prolonged profile, and a stop unit (12) for the hammer is provided at another end (4) of the prolonged profile. A transverse pipe (6) is position-fixedly arranged at the former end of the prolonged profile and connected with the prolonged profile over a diagonal bar (7). A spanner nut piece (17) is arranged at the latter end of the prolonged profile. The spanner nut piece is designed as a square recess.
