The present invention relates to a hydraulic breaker comprising: a back head having a gas chamber provided therein; a cylinder disposed at the lower part of the back head, and having a hydraulic passage and a hydraulic space; a front head disposed at the lower part of the cylinder; a chisel provided inside the front head; a piston provided to reciprocate in the cylinder so as to hit the chisel; and a breaker main body having a plurality of penetration bolts integrally connecting the back head, the cylinder, and the front head, wherein the back head of the breaker main body is provided with a control valve for supplying and blocking hydraulic pressure to/from the hydraulic passage and the hydraulic space. 1. A hydraulic breaker comprising a breaker main body comprising:a back head provided with a gas chamber therein;a cylinder positioned below the back head and provided with a hydraulic path and a hydraulic space;a front head positioned below the cylinder;a chisel installed inside the front head;a piston reciprocally movably installed in the cylinder so as to strike the chisel; anda plurality of through bolts connecting the back head to the cylinder to the front head,wherein the back head of the breaker main body is provided with a control valve to supply hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic path and the hydraulic space and block the supply.2. The hydraulic breaker according to claim 1 ,wherein the cylinder is provided, on an outer side thereof, with an accumulator to smooth flow of a fluid through the hydraulic path.3. Justus ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydraulic impact device in which a hammer member having a piston portion is reciprocally disposed in a cylinder, a reciprocating sleeve valve is disposed within the cylinder and surrounds the hammer member. The sleeve valve has a first peripheral seal with an upper portion of the cylinder and a second peripheral seal with the lower portion of the cylinder so that an annular cavity is formed between the first and the second peripheral seals. The bottom portion of the sleeve valve forms a single seal with the upper portion of the piston section. A pressure relief valve is situated between the inlet to said annular cavity and an annular cavity below the piston portion to insure that the pressure in said annular cavity is greater than the pressure in the cavity below the piston portion and the sleeve valve thus effecting a sealing force between the sleeve valve and the upper face of the piston portion. An energy storage means is provided for receiving energy from said ram member during its upward stroke. The upper and lower sealing portions of said sleeve valve are axially spaced such that when said lower sealing portion seals a fluid inlet port, the upper sealing portion opens a fluid outlet port thereby reducing the pressure in said annular cavity by interrupting a fluid communication between the inlet port and said annular cavity and establishing fluid communication between the outlet port and said annular cavity.

A linear actuator includes a ram and a piston separated by a column of hydraulic fluid in a housing. Upward movement of the ram in the housing first seals a finite quantity of hydraulic fluid in the housing cavity. Continued upward ram movement then causes the piston, and hydraulic fluid beneath it, to move upwardly into a sealed gas chamber to compress a gas and create a source of potential energy. Release of the force moving the ram upwardly permits the compressed gas above the piston to expel the hydraulic fluid from the chamber against the ram thereby converting the potential energy in the compressed gas into kinetic energy in the ram. The hydraulic fluid bears directly against the ram to provide the working stroke of the impact device without the effect of metal fatigue from direct contact between the piston and ram.

A rock drilling machine (2) which is adapted to intermittently produce shock wave pulses for transfer over a drill string (3) to a rock disintegrating drill bit (6). The rock drilling machine includes: a force setting unit (8) which is arranged to periodically subject the drill string (3) to a setting force in said drilling direction, and a control unit (11) which is arranged to activate the force setting unit to initiate said setting force before a point of time for producing at least a selection of said shock wave pulses in order to ensure enhanced rock contact of the drill bit (6) when performing an impact. The invention also concerns a method and a rock drill rig.

[Class 122 (ii)] A distributing valve 39 for a percussive tool is of annular form and is mounted in a valve chest and surrounds a bush 31 through which the rifle bar 28 passes. As shown, motive fluid passes through valve 42, ratchet ring 27 and the bore of the valve to the cylinder 12 and maintains the valve open by acting on the end face 53. The piston 11 is moved forward and the other end of the cylinder exhausts through groove 59 in the valve until the port 68 is uncovered to admit pressure fluid to act on the face 72 of a collar 57 on the valve to close the admission and exhaust ports and open admission to the other end of the cylinder by the end 56 uncovering the port 65. The valve is held in this position by the pressure of the motive fluid acting on the end 56 in opposition to that acting on the face 54 provided in the bore 55. The compression in the cylinder acting on the end face 53 again reverses the valve and the cycle is repeated.
