The invention relates to a method for producing an adhesive connection between workpieces, comprising the steps of: providing a workpiece having a metal surface, said workpiece comprising a coating at least on a melt surface, said coating comprising a thermoplastic; providing a workpiece having a thermoplastic surface; placing the melt surface and the workpiece having the thermoplastic surface against each other, welding the workpiece having a metal surface and the workpiece having the thermoplastic surface to the melt surface under the effect of ultrasonics. 1. A method for producing an adhesive connection between a workpiece having a metal surface and a workpiece having a plastic surface comprising the steps of:providing a first workpiece having a metal surface that has a coating, which comprises a thermoplastic, at least at a melt surface,providing a second workpiece having a thermoplastic surface,placing the melt surface of the first workpiece and the thermoplastic surface of the second workpiece against each other,welding the first workpiece and the second workpiece at the melt surface by exposure to ultrasonic.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein for coating the melt surface a coating agent is used for a top coat that proportionately comprises a thermoplastic in each case.3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein for coating the melt surface claim 1 , a coating agent for a base coat is applied onto the melt surface claim 1 , on which a coating agent for a top coat is applied claim 1 , wherein at least the coating agent for the top coat comprises a thermoplastic.4. The method of claim 1 , wherein forming the shell over the mold and the object comprises thermoforming or pressure forming the shell over the mold and the object.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the object comprises an adhesive on at least a portion of the object that contacts the shell claim 1 , and wherein the adhesive bonds the shell to the object.4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:performing at least one of laser welding or ultrasonic welding to bond the object to the shell.5. Simultaneous sealing of two perimeter seals, one between the border strip and each of two balloon panels, is provided by supporting stacked balloon panels on a rotatable support and sealing around the full perimeter of the two interposed balloon panels and the border strip. The method and machine for manufacture allow for the mass production of high altitude balloons and minimize necessary material handling.
