The binder composition exhibits an excellent chemical stability to factors other than heat without causing migration of the latex resin particles onto the surface of the coated layer even during the time of heat-drying, and thermoreversible thickening effects caused by a sharp heat-sensitive gelling properties. When applied to preparation of coated paper and pressure-sensitive recording sheet, the binder composition provides products excellent in gloss, printability and color producing properties.

A thermosensitive recording medium is provided that is excellent in heat discoloration resistance in the blank portions and in bar code readability. It also has excellent water resistance and printing (recording) run-ability. The thermosensitive recording medium includes a support, a thermosensitive recording layer installed on the support, and a protective layer on the thermosensitive recording layer. The thermosensitive recording layer contains two kinds of electron accepting color developing agents, a sulfonic acid compound and a diphenyl sulfone compound. Both the thermosensitive recording layer and the protective layer contain crosslinking agents, and at least one, and preferably both, of the thermosensitive recording layer and the protective layer contain an ammonium zirconium carbonate as the crosslinking agent.

A thermal sensitive media for use with labeling or identification methods is disclosed. The thermal sensitive media comprises a media layer and a thermally sensitive record layer formed upon at least one surface of the media layer. The present invention relates to a thermosensitive recording material and, specifically, to a thermosensitive recording material comprising: a colorless or light-colored leuco dye; a compound of chemical formula (1) containing a non-phenolic sulfonyl urea group as a developer; at least one of general formulas II-1, II-2, and II-3 as a sensitizer; a binder; and other fillers. The thermosensitive recording material of the present invention improves the background blurring of a color-developed image by using a non-phenolic developer and exhibits excellent effects in view of color development sensitivity, water resistance, oil resistance, plasticizer resistance, and the like. 2. The material according to claim 1 , wherein the compound represented by Formula (I) above is included in an amount of 80 to 100% by weight (‘wt. %’) to a total amount of developer.4. The material according to claim 1 , wherein claim 1 , as the sensitizer claim 1 , at least one selected from 1 claim 1 ,2-di-(3-methylphenoxy)ethane claim 1 , 1 claim 1 ,2-di-phenoxyethane claim 1 , diphenylsulfone claim 1 , 4 claim 1 ,4′-diallyloxydiphenylsulfone and β-benzyloxynaphthalene is included.5.
