Um eine Fahrzeugkarosserie ausreichend zu versteifen, damit bei einem Seitenaufprall Instrusionen in die Fahrgastzelle weitgehend vermieden werden, ist es notwendig, einerseits in der B-Säule (2) ein Verstärkungsblech (11) vorzusehen und andererseits das Dach des Fahrzeuges mit mindestens einem Spriegel (3) in der Verlängerung der B-Säule (2) zu versehen. Dies führt dazu, dass in der Verbindung zwischen der Seitenwand und dem Dach mehrere Bleche zusammenkommen, die in geeigneter Weise miteinander verbunden werden müssen. DOLLAR A Es wird daher vorgeschlagen, dass das Außenblech (12) und das Innenblech (1) sowie das Verstärkungsblech (11) der Seitenwand und der Spriegel in einer Ebene miteinander verschweißt werden, wobei der Spriegel (3) im Bereich der Verbindung eine wellenförmige Struktur erhält, so dass er entweder im Kontakt steht mit dem Innenblech (1) oder dem Außenblech (12). Auf diese Weise können Schweißpunkte gesetzt werden, die höchstens drei Lagen miteinander verbinden.

The impact absorption member is formed of ribs in a grid pattern. Specifically, first ribs each having a major surface facing in a front-rear direction are disposed approximately at regular intervals in the front-rear direction. In addition, second ribs each having a major surface facing in a vertical direction are disposed approximately at regular intervals in the vertical direction. The first ribs disposed at ends in the front-rear direction are closer to the outer panel than the first ribs disposed at a middle portion in the front-rear direction. 1. An impact energy absorption structure for a vehicle , comprising:an outer panel;an inner panel; andan impact absorption member that is disposed in a hollow closed-section body formed by the outer panel and the inner panel, and that absorbs an impact energy when a collision occurs, whereinin the impact absorption member, first ribs disposed in a front-rear direction and second ribs disposed in a vertical direction are formed in a grid pattern, andthe first ribs disposed at ends in the front-rear direction are closer to the outer panel than the first ribs disposed at a middle portion in the front-rear direction.2. The impact energy absorption structure for a vehicle according to claim 1 ,wherein the first ribs disposed at the ends in the front-rear direction are thicker than the first ribs disposed at the middle portion in the front-rear direction.3.
