The present invention is directed to a method of transporting and packaging a plurality of preformed flower pot covers. Each preformed flower pot cover is formed from a flexible sheet of material which is of a shape and size to receive a flower pot. Each preformed flower pot cover has a base with a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough for receiving the flower pot and further having a decorative skirt extending angularly upwardly and outwardly from the upper end of the base. The method of the present invention includes the step of providing a portable platform configured to stabilize, receive, support and protect a plurality of stacked preformed flower pot covers. The platform with the preformed flower pot covers can then be wrapped to further stabilize the stacks of preformed flower pot covers so that the platform can be transported to a predetermined destination.

The objective of the invention is to provide an alternative way of wrapping a product with cardboard at faster speed and maintain stacking strength. This accomplished by bending two strips of cardboard into the shape of a U channel where the sides of the U form an angle smaller than 90 degrees. The sides of the U channel cardboard will be open by a guide that will allow each U channel cardboard piece to slide around each end of the product without requiring glue to hold the U Channel in position. By maintaining an angle of less than 90 degrees the U channel cardboard acts like a spring clamp around the product and maintains its position on the conveyor belt while the product is film wrapped and the film is heat shrunk.

A method for producing a pallet-less packaging unit has multiple packaging objects stacked to a stack of goods. The objects are stacked with a special layer that forms at least two encroachment areas for fork legs of a lift truck in at least one stack level. The special layer is first stacked on a normal layer larger than the special layer. The present invention relates to a method for producing a packed bale of highly compacted filter tow material. A compressed filter tow bale is first provided in cuboid shape in a baler. Then the compressed filter tow bale is packaged, having an air-tight packaging sleeve fully enclosing the compressed filter tow bale. According to the invention, the packaging sleeve is applied to the compressed filter tow bales such that at least 80%, preferably at least 90% and more preferably at least 95%, of the packaging sleeve is directly adjacent to the highly compacted filter tow material and touches, or is at least spaced less than 15 mm from, the highly compacted filter tow material. 1. A method for producing a packaged filter tow bale , wherein the method comprises the following steps:i) producing a compressed filter tow bale of cuboid shape in a baling press; andii) wrapping the compressed filter tow bale with an airtight packaging sleeve, which completely encloses the compressed filter tow bale,wherein step ii) further includes applying the packaging sleeve to the compressed filter tow bale in such a way that at least 80%, of the packaging sleeve does at least one of: (1) directly adjoins and therefore contacts the compressed filter tow bale; and (2) is spaced apart from the compressed filter tow bale by less than 15 mm.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein step ii) further includes applying the packaging sleeve around the compressed filter tow bale in such a way that no more than 50 liters of air are enclosed between the packaging sleeve and the compressed filter tow bale at a temperature of 20° C.3. The claimed group of inventions relates also to the method of manufacturing the above box.
