A fluids management apparatus is disclosed herein that enables management of multiple volumes of different fluids when drilling and/or producing oil and/or gas with an oil and gas well drilling platform. The apparatus includes a structural, transportable frame that has upper and lower reservoir sections, each with a plurality of tanks for holding fluid. The upper reservoir section is easily lifted and transported, such as by crane. A docking station on the lower reservoir section is receptive of the upper reservoir section. A piping system enables a selected fluid volume contained in a tank of the upper reservoir section to be selectively transmitted to a selected tank of the lower reservoir section. The lower reservoir section has its own piping system that enables a user to withdraw fluid from any selected one of its tanks.

A cargo rack for transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore marine platform provides a frame having a front, a rear, and upper and lower end portions. The lower end portion has a perimeter beam base, a raised floor and a pair of open-ended parallel fork tine tubes that communicate with the perimeter beam at the front and rear of the frame. Openings in the perimeter beam base align with the forklift tine tubes. The frame includes fixed side walls extending upwardly from the perimeter beam. A plurality of gates are movably mounted on the frame, each gate being movable between open and closed positions, the gates enabling a forklift to place fluid holding tanks on the floor by accessing either the front of the frame or the rear of the frame. A manifold arrangement with fittings enables transfer of fluid in any tank to a common outlet.

In an embodiment, a tank is provided that includes a shell having a sidewall, a neck including a first collar, and a tube terminating in a second collar. A frustoconical cap may be secured to the first collar. A substantially conical cap may be secured to the second collar. A liner may be applied to the shell so that the liner substantially covers an interior surface of the sidewall, an interior surface of the neck, at least a portion of the first collar, an interior surface of the tube, and at least a portion of the second collar. Annular thickened segments may be trimmed to prepare the tank for use. The annular thickened segments may be located at an interior joint between the frustoconical cap and the first collar, and/or an interior joint between the substantially conical cap and the second collar. The trimming step may form first and second sealing surfaces of the liner adjacent respectively to the first and second collars. The first and second sealing surfaces may respectively be configured to substantially seal against a manway cover and an outlet cover. In a final, assembled preferred form, the frustoconical and substantially conical caps are replaced with the manway assembly and outlet cover, respectively sealed against the first and second sealing surfaces.

A system for transporting fluid cargo within a walled shipping container , the system comprising a membrane and a box having walls , the membrane and box independently or in combination contain the fluid cargo;wherein the box is open topped with part of the membrane extending above an upper rim of the box and in that the box walls support the portion of the cargo within the box during transportation, the box being designed to flex and absorb only part of and not the entirety of the horizontal forces generated within the cargo during its transportation so that if the upper part of the membrane above the rim contacts the adjacent surrounding container walls it is prevented from applying a load to the surrounding container walls which exceeds the elastic limit of the container walls.2. A method of delivering proppant to a well site has the steps of transporting a load of proppant in a vessel to a desired location, moving the load of proppant from the vessel into a container so as to create a proppant-loaded container, unloading the proppant-loaded container into a pneumatic bulk trailer, and transporting the unloaded proppant in the pneumatic bulk trailer to well site. The container is placed onto a bed of a truck and moved in proximity to the vessel. The proppant-loaded container is placed onto a tilting mechanism and then tilted so that the proppant is discharged through a flow gate of a container into a hopper. The proppant in the hopper can then be conveyed to the pneumatic bulk trailer. 1. A method of loading and transporting proppant to a well drilling site , the method comprising:a) positioning one or more empty proppant containers, each located on a trailer of a respective plurality of proppant transporting road vehicles and structurally strengthened to receive a large volume of proppant having a substantially spherical shape therein, at a selected first location so that each of the one or more empty proppant containers substantially underlies a source of proppant to load into each of the one or more empty proppant containers, each of the one or more empty containers also being separate and removable from each trailer of the respective plurality of proppant transporting road vehicles and including at least a first end surface and at least a second different end surface, each of the first and second end surfaces having a plurality of upright structural support members thereon to enhance integrity of the one or more containers to stack the one or more containers to overlie one another and store proppant therein;b) filling the one or more empty proppant containers with proppant from the source of proppant thereby to produce one or more proppant filled and structurally strengthened containers;c) staging the plurality of proppant transporting ...

A container according the present application includes a container auto-lock system. The container auto-lock system is integrated into the outboard apertures of the lower castings of a domestic sized container. The container auto-lock system includes a locking mechanism which is configured to recess when the container is lowered onto a surface lacking an acceptable receiving aperture. The locking mechanism is also configured to automatically lock when placed on top of a domestic sized container. The container auto-lock system is configured to be compatible with international sized container by allowing the inboard apertures on each lower casting to be available for attaching the domestic container on top of an international container with a conventional locking device.

The overall dimensions of the container tank are approximately twenty feet long, eight feet wide and eight and a half feet high.
