A winding device , comprising:a winding part that winds a longitudinal recording medium in which an image is formed;a suppressing member that suppresses generation of a strain in the longitudinal recording medium wound by the winding part; andan operation part that operates the suppressing member in a case where the strain in the longitudinal recording medium wound by the winding part is a threshold value or more.2. The winding device according to claim 1 , further comprising:a measurement member that measures a projection height of a projection portion formed on a surface the longitudinal recording medium;a diameter calculation part that calculates a wound diameter of the winding part at which the longitudinal recording medium is wound; anda strain calculation part that calculates the strain in the longitudinal recording medium wound by the winding part from a measurement result of the measurement member and a calculation result of the diameter calculation part.3. A sheet handling apparatus for a printing system includes a rotary drum having an inner chamber circumferentially surrounded by an outer peripheral wall with perforations formed therein. A paper thickness detecting device that detects a paper thickness in accordance with a detection signal of a displacement sensor, includes: a pair of paper thickness detecting rollers including a first roller and a second roller that pinch a paper conveyed via a pair of conveyance rollers; and the displacement sensor that detects a displacement amount of the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers at the time when the paper passes through the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers, wherein the paper thickness is detected on the basis of the displacement amount of the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers that follows to rotate with respect to the paper conveyed via the pair of conveyance rollers. 1. A paper thickness detecting device that detects a paper thickness in accordance with a detection signal of a displacement sensor , the paper thickness detecting device , comprising:a pair of paper thickness detecting rollers comprising a first roller and a second roller that pinch a paper conveyed via a pair of conveyance rollers; andthe displacement sensor that detects a displacement amount of the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers at the time when the paper passes through the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers,wherein the paper thickness is detected on the basis of the displacement amount of the pair of paper thickness detecting rollers that follows to rotate with respect to the paper conveyed via the pair of conveyance rollers.2. Systems and methods for adjustable path length of print media in a dryer of a printing system. In one embodiment, the dryer includes a drum that applies heat to a web of print media. The dryer also includes first rollers positioned in an arc around the drum to define a path of travel of the web along the arc when the web is between an entrance of the dryer and the drum. In a printing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to inspect an image of a printed product where an image is printed accurately without scratching a print medium as the printed product. In the printing apparatus, first, a reading unit reads the image on the print medium conveyed by a conveyance unit, and a fixing unit fixes the print medium to a reading area by the reading unit. Then, control is performed so as to stop conveyance by the conveyance unit and fix the print medium by the fixing unit at the time of image reading, and release fixing of the print medium by the fixing unit and resume conveyance by the conveyance unit if the image reading is complete.
