A one-piece board level shielding element with a top cover peel panel is secured to a circuit board to shield and provide access to a shielded component. The shielding element is formed with a top having a peel line to facilitate removal of the peel panel with a peel tool. Once the repair is completed, a new cover is put on to the remaining side-walls to reestablish the shielding. The shield top cover is formed with a peel tool insertion slot and an adjacent peel start slot. The peel panel is removed by a peel tool having a peel hook mounted to a cylindrical peel key that is inserted into the insertion slot and hooks the cover at the peel start slot. Upon rotating the peel key away from the peel start slot, the peel panel is easily removed. A fixture plate may be used to support the peel tool and assist in removal of the peel panel 1. The CHAR (Climb, Hook And Rip) is a multipurpose tool used by interior structural firefighters to accomplish common essential tasks such as pulling down ceilings, and breaching walls. In addition, it facilitates a quick advancement into the attic of a structure to extinguish fire extension. The innovation is that the CHAR's unique head secures the tool to dimensional 2″ lumber, common to wood framed dwelling structures. The head allows an interior firefighter to hook floor and ceiling joists and climb the tool itself to reach another level of the structure. Most likely the tool is used to rip down the ceiling, hook the ceiling joist and climb up to the attic. In a worst-case scenario such as a firefighter falling through the floor, the firefighter may be able to hook a floor joist and climb up the tool to self-rescue. 2: The head of the tool is designed with a point at the top to break through various building material and with a downward sweeping hook that grips onto floor and ceiling joists. The bottom opening of the hook is 2¾ inch wide and reduces to a 1¼ wide. There are two rows of serrated teeth welded to the inside of the downward hook. A plurality of modular cable protectors can be removably connected in series by complementary end connectors at each end. A pry bar for construction applications and methods of using same is disclosed. The presently disclosed pry bar includes a main pry bar member, a handle, and a pry bar head. The pry bar head further includes a top plate, a faceplate that includes two prongs, a tapered slot between the two prongs, and optionally a pivot edge at the top of the tapered slot, and various support members. A method of using the pry bar is provided that includes the steps of positioning a board to be installed and thereby revealing a gap between the board and a previously installed board, positioning the pry bar head with respect to a floor joist and also with respect to the board to be installed and manipulating the handle of the pry bar until the gap is closed, fastening the board in place. 1. A construction tool comprising:a bar;a handle; anda faceplate comprising two prongs and a tapered slot therebetween.2. The construction tool of claim 1 , wherein the faceplate further comprises at least one support member.3. The construction tool of claim 2 , wherein the support member is provided along the side edges of the tapered slot.4. The construction tool of claim 2 , wherein the support member is provided along an upper portion only of the side edges of the tapered slot.5. The construction tool of claim 2 , wherein the support member is provided substantially along the full length of the side edges of the tapered slots.6. It's now accepted that hurricane tie-down straps should be wrapped over the top of rafters/trusses, avoiding the crucial weakening effect of wood splitting around the nails of common side-nailed straps. That “wrap-over” is easy to do during construction but has been difficult and costly to do for existing houses, where the sheathing and roofing is in the way. But now such wrap-over can be an easy retrofit, according to this invention: Without damaging sheathing or roofing, force the sheathing off the rafter/truss just enough to allow a special strap to be pushed through the gap, then proceed much as in new construction. Unique wedge-blade and lever types of devices quickly create just the right gaps. 1. Long-handled lever rotates lower cam surface about an upper pivot axle between 2 spaced-apart fixed wedge-bodies which are further held apart by a lower pivot axle. A movable wedge-body between the fixed bodies rotates on the lower axle due to a cam follower actuated by the lever cam surface. Each cable protector also includes a number of tool engagement features that that can be removably engaged by a tool that enables a user to exert an upward force to disengage the end connectors on adjacent cable protectors. A hand operated leverage device is provided for contact with the outer surface of a roll of material, so that a relatively small amount of force applied to the device will result in a forward rotating movement of the roll of material a relatively short distance away from the user and away from the device. The support legs allow the device to be freestanding, with one of the support legs having the ability to accommodate a person's stepping force, while another support leg is pivotally connected to the body of the device and serves as a pivot point for the transmission of the force from the human operator to the roll of material. A curved, adjustable plate connected at the end of the leverage device enables it to actively engage the outer surface of the roll of material during the force-transmissive operation of the device. Operation of the device forwardly urges a roll of material away from the user and the curved plate prevents the transmitted force from damaging, marring or leaving an impression upon the outer surface of the roll of material.
