The present invention relates to polymers having dynamic urea bonds and more specifically to polymers having hindered urea bonds (HUBs) with fast hydrolytic kinetics. These urea bonds are aryl-substituted, i.e. aromatic-substituted hindered urea bonds, that demonstrate pH independent hydrolytic kinetics, such that they consistently and rapidly hydrolyze in water from pH 2 to 11. The urea bond dissociation for these materials is generally such that k>h, which is two orders of magnitudes faster than for aliphatic hindered ureas. The present invention also relates to hydrolytically reversible or degradable linear, branched or network polymers incorporating these HUBs and to precursors for incorporation of these HUBs into these polymers. The technology can be applied to and integrated into a variety of polymers, such as polyureas, polyurethanes, polyesters, polyamides, polycarbonates, polyamines, and polysaccharides to make linear, branched, and cross-linked polymers. An embodiment of the invention provides an anionic/non-ionic water based polymer comprising polyurethane and polyurea. The polymer is approximately 30 to 40 weight percent non-volatile and has a viscosity of between approximately 1400 and 1500 cps. Also provided is a method for producing an anion/non-ionic water based polyurethane/polyurea polymer, the method comprising heating dimethylolpropionic acid; combining the dimethylolproprionic acid with heated PEG to create a slurry; adding isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) to the slurry to create a mixture; and heating the mixture in the presence of a catalyst. The prepolymer is then salted out after catalyst is added and reaction complete. This salted prepolymer is then added to ethylene diamine in water to chain extend and promote water solubility. Also provided is a film comprising the polymer.

By means of the present invention, a novel method for eliminating radioactive iodine is provided that is simple and low-cost, furthermore does not require an energy source such as electricity, moreover can take in and stably immobilize the eliminated radioactive iodine within a solid, and is capable of reducing the volume of radioactive waste as necessary. 1. A method for eliminating radioactive iodine using a hydrophilic resin that adsorbs radioactive iodine in liquid and/or a solid body , comprising the steps of:providing a hydrophilic resin selected from the group consisting of a hydrophilic polyurethane resin, a hydrophilic polyurea resin, and a hydrophilic polyurethane-polyurea resin, wherein the hydrophilic resin has a hydrophilic segment, wherein a structure of the hydrophilics resin has a principal chain and a side chain, and wherein a tertiary a amino group-containing segment is located in said principal chain and/or said side chain; andcontacting the liquid and/or solid body with the hydrophilic resin adsorb radioactive iodine from the liquid and/or solid body in the hydrophilic resin.2. An aqueous polyurethane dispersion compositions are disclosed. The compositions include a polyurethane prepolymer dispersed in an aqueous medium, the polyurethane prepolymer comprising an isocyanate and a crystalline polyester polyol having a hydroxyl content of 20 to 150 mg KOH/g and a melt temperature of less than or equal to 90° C. Methods of forming a laminate are also disclosed. The methods include providing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, applying the polyurethane dispersion to a surface of the first substrate, bringing the side of the first substrate into contract with a surface of the second substrate, and curing the aqueous dispersion, thereby laminating the first substrate to the second substrate. Laminates formed by the methods and including the compositions are also disclosed. 1. The present disclosure provides a polymeric material including a reaction product of a polymerizable composition and having a solids content of 90% or greater. The polymerizable composition includes a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself, a first hydroxyl-containing compound having a single OH group, and a second hydroxyl-containing compound having more than one OH group. The first hydroxyl-containing compound is a primary alcohol or a secondary alcohol, plus the second hydroxyl-containing compound is a diol and the reaction product contains 0.2 to 0.5, inclusive, of diol equivalents relative to isocyanate equivalents. The present disclosure also provides a two-part composition, in which the polymeric material is included in the first part and the second part includes at least one amine. Further, a method of adhering two substrates is provided, including obtaining a two-part composition; combining at least a portion of the first part with at least a portion of the second part to form a mixture; disposing at least a portion of the mixture on a first substrate; and contacting a second substrate with the mixture disposed on the first substrate. The disclosure also provides a polymeric material and a method of making a two-part composition. Advantageously, two-part compositions according to the present disclosure can be used as coatings and adhesive systems with handling and performance similar to existing two-part urethane systems, but with less sensitivity to water. 1. The present invention provides a method for preparing a foam that includes a polyurethaneurea dispersion. These foams have enhanced flexibility and resistance to compressibility compared to convention polyurethane foam. These foams may also be made by a reaction injection molding process. The method includes preparing a shaped polyurethane foam article by: (a) providing a first composition comprising at least one polyol, a chain extender composition and a blowing agent; (b) providing a second composition comprising at least one of a diisocyanate, a capped glycol, and combinations thereof; (c) mixing the first composition and the second composition to form a reaction mixture into a heated mold; and (d) allowing the reaction mixture to form a polyurethane foam; wherein the first composition includes one of: (i) the chain extender composition includes at least one amine compound; (ii) the blowing agent includes a polyurethaneurea aqueous dispersion; and (iii) combinations of (i) and (ii). 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein said chain extender comprises a diol.3. Dispersions of polyurea particles are made by reacting polyisocyanate compounds and coreactants that include at least one polyamine while dispersed in a base polyether.
