Inorganic-organic composite articles and methods for producing them using inorganic acidic/alkaline precursor components as inorganic adhesives is provided. Articles prepared therefrom provide improved flexibility, zero flame spread, no release of volatile organic compounds, and low carbon foot print. 1. A method of producing a composite product , the method comprising providing an organic material , and{'sub': 2', '4', '2', '4', '2', '4', '2', '4', '2', '2', '2', '4', '2', '2', '2', '4', '2', '3', '4', '2', '2', '2', '4, 'contacting the organic material with an inorganic adhesive, the inorganic adhesive comprising a mixture of an inorganic acidic precursor and an alkaline precursor the inorganic acidic precursor comprising at least one of a saturated solution of phosphoric acid, sodium dihydrogen phosphate (NaHPO), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KHPO), cesium dihydrogen phosphate (CsHPO), magnesium dihydrogen phosphate (Mg(HPO).2HO), calcium dihydrogen phosphate (Ca(HPO).2HO), zinc dihydrogen phosphate (Zn(HPO)), mono aluminum hydro phosphate (AlH(PO).HO), MgCl, MgSO, and mixtures thereof.'}2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the weight ratio of the organic material to the total inorganic adhesive claim 1 , excluding water content claim 1 , is less than about 40 weight percent organic material providing a fiber-reinforced ceramic composite product; or is more than 40 weight percent organic material providing an inorganic fiber composite product.3.
