A method for suppressing metal corrosion attributable to a compound having an SH structure contained in a hydrocarbon, including adding at least one aldehyde selected from the group consisting of a monoaldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and a dialdehyde having 3 or more carbon atoms, to the hydrocarbon. 1. A method for suppressing metal corrosion attributable to a compound having an SH structure contained in a hydrocarbon , the method comprising:adding at least one aldehyde selected from the group consisting of a monoaldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and a dialdehyde having 3 or more carbon atoms, to the hydrocarbon.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the aldehyde is a dialdehyde having 3 or more carbon atoms.3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the aldehyde is at least one selected from the group consisting of 3-methylglutaraldehyde claim 1 , 1 claim 1 ,9-nonanedial claim 1 , and 2-methyl-1 claim 1 ,8-octanedial.4.
