Die Zusammensetzung umfasst eine Menge von ungefähr 30 bis 60 Gew.-% einer Boresterverbindung; eine Menge von ungefähr 30 bis 60 Gew.-% Alkylenglykolalkylether; und eine Menge von ungefähr 0,05 bis 10 Gew.-% öllöslichem Polyalkylenglykol (OSP) bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung. Demgemäß verringert die OSP enthaltende Zusammensetzung für eine Bremsflüssigkeit eine Feuchtigkeitsabsorptionsmenge der Bremsflüssigkeit aus der Luft und behält einen hohen Siedepunkt der Bremsflüssigkeit für einen langen Zeitraum bei, wodurch ein Zeitraum für den Wechsel der Bremsflüssigkeit und das Verbessern der Wirksamkeit bezüglich des Korrosionsschutzes, der Wirksamkeit bezüglich des Schutzes vor Metallverschleiß und ein Betrieb eines Hauptzylinders verbessert wird.

A lubrication block, with or without a cavity, or a lubrication bag, for lubricating an ID surface of a tyre and an OD surface of a plurality of pads of rotary trunnion supported equipment, such as a kiln, cooler, dryer, reactor, granulator and ball mill operating at temperatures from 100.degree.F to 500.degree.F or higher. The tyre has inner and outer faces, and the inner face of the tyre is slipped over the plurality of pads or filler bars welded to an outer shell of the rotary equipment. The lubrication block or bag is sized so as to be inserted in between the pads. The lubrication block comprises a lubricant and a solid carrier for said lubricant. This disclosure relates to a method for improving air release in a lubricating oil. The method involves formulating a composition having at least one lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and one or more lubricating oil additives, as a minor component. The one or more lubricating oil additives include at least one polyalkylene glycol. The at least one polyalkylene glycol is soluble in the at least one lubricating oil base stock. The weight ratio of the at least one polyalkylene glycol to the at least one lubricating oil base stock is from about 1:99 to about 7:93. During operation of a lubricating system containing the lubricating oil, release of entrained air in the lubricating oil is improved, as determined by ASTM D-3427-15, as compared to release of entrained air achieved using a lubricating oil containing other than the at least one polyalkylene glycol. Oligomers of C6-C20 alpha-olefins, such a 1-decene, with branch ratios below 0.19 and high viscosity indices (HVI) can be funtionalized to provide unique phosphite derivatives. Functionalized polyalpha-olefin (HVI-PAO) lubricant compositions with superior properties are prepared by adding functionalized organophosphites to the terminal olefinic bond of HVI-PAO. The invention encompasses a process for the preparation of lubricant range hydrocarbons containing phosphonate functional groups, the process comprising: reacting olefinic C30+ polyalpha-olefin oligomers having a branch ratio of less than 0.19 and phosphite ester in a mixture with a peroxide catalyst at elevated temperature whereby phosphite ester adduct of the polyalpha-olefin is formed; and separating the reaction mixture products and recovering the adduct.

A lubricating oil additive composed of a partially etherified polyhydric alcohol which has at least two hydroxyl groups and bears at least one hydrocarbon group having at least one double bond in a state bonded through an ether linkage as an active component. The lubricating additive is added to a lube base oil to form a lubricating oil which can impart excellent wear resistance, which little corrodes metallic substances, which little swells rubbers or resins and which little forms sludge due to thermal oxidation.
